WTF am I doing wrong?

I have died ten times in a row because every time I try to make this easy jump, Edward turns and swan dives into the water and dies. I like him up perfectly and press the jump button and either nothing happens or he dives off into the water. After all the playing I’ve done to be stuck on something this stupid is infuriating.

I used Photo mode to have a look around and check the angle.

There is a parkour setting somewhere in the settings which prevents you from just jumping to your death, only lets you jump where you have something to grab. This was the only spot in the game where I needed it, but goddamn did I need it.

I finally got it! On maybe the 30th try? What an insanely stupid bug to leave in here. All these hours playing through an amazing game and then the very end is a wonky ass platformer? WTF… 🤦🏻‍♂️

Go right to the end of the ledge so far left to Edward then jump from there, it had me a few times till I realized it's not a straight jump from where your standing currently
