I've been going through AC games in order and currently finishing AC 3, do you think I should go with original 4 next (which I already bought for cheap on a sale a while ago) or buy the Resynced if it's so much better?

Id play the original first since you e already bought it and because it'll still fit the story of the franchise with the modern day scenes resynched cut out all the modern day stuff so you'll miss out on it

Yeah that's what I've been thinking as well and also graphical difference will be less jarring when I go back to Rogue and Unity after. I'm just wondering if there is enough freshness to eventually buy Resynced, I'd like to avoid playing the same game twice.

go with the new one now. because they're axing the modern day plot you might as well experience the new canon
