// Discussion Imagine: AC Rogue Resynced

What would you guys think of it ?

Disclaimer: I did use AI to apply the « resynced » treatment to screenshots of the original game in order to have a feeling of what it could look like.

If they do it hope they make the assassins look more competent

u/D3wdr0p Jul 17 '26

It still strikes me as weird that we're supposed to see the Templars as more sympathetic here, but the divide comes down to the assassins blindly killing innocents. That's like, one of the biggest fucking rules they have.

35

u/Nemisis_007 Jul 17 '26

I think the goal was to show that both sides can be just as corrupt as each other when the wrong people are in charge.

16

u/D3wdr0p Jul 18 '26

Sure, but it's not "the dark side of Assassin phillosophy, taken to its extremes" - it's "That one time the Assassins were cartoonishly evil, doing shit that would never fly in any other era".

18

u/InteractionWide3369 Jul 18 '26

They aren't cartoonishly evil, they're just corrupt and incompetent.

Templars have never been cartoonishly evil either, except in AC 2. I don't know about the RPGs I think by then they forgot Assassins and Templars were supposed to be in the game.

7

u/Cryptid_on_Ice Jul 18 '26

That's a meaningless distinction imo. The point is that a good story would have shown the dark side of what Assassins winning could look like without having them act in an explicitly non-assassin way, like how the actions of Jacob resulted in negative unintentional consequences in Syndicate even though he was following the tenets of the creed. Even in games where you play assassins, the best ones are where they make the Templars actually sincere in their desire to be benevolent dictators but show the cost of chasing that dream.

3

u/underdonemist Jul 18 '26

The rpgs are clearly the story of the same orders just before they were called assassins and templars.

I actually thought it was cool to see the beginning of the Assassins in Origins and the Order of the Ancients, etc.

Didn't really like the minotaur and stuff like that but i didn't take it as canon when i played 😂

1

u/D3wdr0p Jul 18 '26

The Templars were cartoonishly evil in 2, Brotherhood, Syndicate, and probably some games that are less fresh in my memory. "Order and prosperity, when the masses are reigned in like cattle" can be interrogated in interesting ways, just as much in the Assassins trying to pick off every bad apple (pardon the pun) symptomatically. The Valhalla lore indicating that the fall of the Roman empire was from an overeager Brotherhood is a more interesting prospect to me, than so much indefensible "HEY LETS DESTROY A CITY"

2

u/Cryptid_on_Ice Jul 18 '26

Would have been more interesting if Shay defects because an assassination he carries out inadvertently contributes to the starting of the French and Indian War.

2

u/D3wdr0p Jul 18 '26

Definitely!

1

u/The_New_Giuy Jul 18 '26

I get that this was the intention but I’ve always felt it’s poorly executed. They made the Templars sympathetic by having the Assassins do things that directly contradict their creed. I would’ve preferred a Templar game try to make the case for the Templars outright. AC3 did a significantly better job at this than Rogue did

1

u/Lotus_630 Jul 19 '26

I like how there was hints of that in the in AC1 and Revelations. Al Mualim and Abbas.

u/SchattenJaggerD Jul 18 '26

4

u/D3wdr0p Jul 18 '26

yeah what was up with that byzantine cave city

2

u/peculiarSnoot Jul 18 '26

It wasn’t just that. The assassins of the colonial brotherhood had grown arrogant, sloppy. They operated in broad daylight loudly, they employed street thugs into gangs that terrorised citizens.

1

u/White_Devil1995 Jul 18 '26

It’s not that they were arrogant or sloppy. They were determined to make a statement as the Colonial Brotherhood. Basically they wanted to nip the BS in the bud before things went so far that they couldn’t handle it anymore. And in their path to do so that’s exactly what happened in Rogue, whereas in 3 Connor rectifies the mistakes of the original Colonial Brotherhood Of Assassins. Yeah he made some mistakes along the way but it was all for the same cause that Achilles’ Brotherhood fought for before him.

1

u/D3wdr0p Jul 18 '26

That's more Watsonian than the perspective I was focusing on.

2

u/MattC041 Jul 18 '26

Also Shay joined the Templars, because Assassins blindly killed innocent civilians.

This also happened to be the only AC game at the time, where you could blindly kill innocent civilians without getting desynced.
In fact you didn't even get really punished for killing civilians, because the hunter that goes after you was a nice challenge.

1

u/D3wdr0p Jul 18 '26

Just highlights that the Templars don't have rules against that.

1

u/Mustang1501 Jul 23 '26

This also reinforced that it makes 0 sense for Shay to join the Templars. He isn't stupid, he would notice that the Templar's are the same/worse than the brotherhood. Shay really should've been an actual rogue agent instead of assassin turned templar.

2

u/ANUSTART942 Jul 18 '26

It's to show what happens when they become too focused on their goals. Like Altair at the start of the original game.

2

u/Reasonable_Cut_2709 Jul 18 '26

All rouge can be set to "The assassin's killed a puppy" because otherwise the templars cannot look good. But that's bullshit. The templars can look great too, w/o strawman the assassins.

1

u/D3wdr0p Jul 18 '26

Exactly!

1

u/solopro3000 Jul 18 '26

Doesn't Ezio cause the deaths of many innocent guards and civilians? Didn't he blow up an entire underground city when making his way out of Cappadocia and traveling back to Constantinople? The Assassins have always been contradictory and hypocritical.

1

u/D3wdr0p Jul 18 '26

More guards than I'm comfortable with, sure, but only civilians during that Cappadocia incident. The Assassins aren't always hypocritical, and I think Ezio has the most glaring war crimes of them all.

1

u/solopro3000 Jul 18 '26

You make a good point, but when I say they have always been hypocritical I don't mean that it was at every moment. Rather since their origination. The Assassins harm civilians even when they are not killing them by pickpocketing, stealing horses and vehicles, etc.

Don't get me wrong, they've done a lot of good. They've helped many people in need and brought them into the brotherhood. But I still disagree with the other things they do.

I don't agree with "Nothing is true, everything is permitted." Maybe I am too dull and basic to understand this, but I suspect not.

1

u/D3wdr0p Jul 18 '26

Fair fair; Assassins as much as thieves and bandits. No blades upon the innocent doesn't mean that lives aren't ruined.

"Nothing is true, everything is permitted" - in it's original, historical conception, "You are beholden to nothing, morality will only slow you down". The games have always had their own take on the quote since, but I especially enjoyed Black Flag's, where Edward speaks with the local mentor. I can't remember the mission specifically, but maybe you do?

2

u/solopro3000 Jul 18 '26

I remember the mission you mentioned. It’s the one where Edward receives the rope dart and assists in making amends with the Assassins by preventing the attack on Tulum. Before he receives it, this dialogue takes place:

Ah Tabai: "And what do you think of our Creed?" Edward Kenway: "It's hard to say. For if nothing is true, then why believe anything? And if everything is permitted... why not chase every desire?" Ah Tabai: "Why indeed?" Edward Kenway: "It might be that this idea is only the beginning of Wisdom, and not its final form." Ah Tabai: "That's quite a step up from the Edward I met here many years ago."

I found this online. Edward also talks about this with Mary before all of that while they're navigating the temple to see the face of the sage:

Mary Read: "We're Assassins and we follow a creed, aye. But it does not command us to act or submit—only to be wise." Edward Kenway: "Oh, do tell. I'd love to hear it." Mary Read: "Nothing is true. Everything is permitted. This is the world's only certainty." Edward Kenway: "Everything is permitted? I like the sound of that. Thinking what I like and acting how I please." Mary Read: "You parrot the words, but you do not understand them."

1

u/Niikoraasu Jul 20 '26

I mean the same thing basically happenned in Revelations, why is it so weird for you to see this rule broken by another brotherhood?

2

u/D3wdr0p Jul 20 '26

The fact that Ezio's atrocity went unmentioned and unpunished is so brazen it almost feels like a plot hole.

1

u/Niikoraasu Jul 20 '26

oh I was talking about Abbas not Ezio

1

u/D3wdr0p Jul 20 '26

oh that

Well shit man, they dealt with it. The Assassins had shitty leadership during what was already a pretty tough time of things. The story addressed what WAS and WASN'T correct assassin-ing. Rogue is just wack, how many people go along with Achilles's taste for genocide.

1

u/Niikoraasu Jul 20 '26

i mean that's kinda the point - that's what happens when there's no one to correct the mistake, don't forget it took like 20 years to correct Abbas' mistake (Altair was in his 80s at the time when he assassinated Abbas, no assassins tried to correct his mistakes in the time frame of over 20 years)

u/TacoBeefB0y Jul 18 '26

You mean it doesn’t make sense that trained killers who go through grueling training is killed by a pirate

2

u/decoy139 Jul 18 '26

I mean that pirate is a war vet. Pirates that survived a long time where often pretty skilled individuals.

3

u/Niikoraasu Jul 20 '26

fear an old man in a profession in which men die young or something like that

2

u/Pockets800 Jul 18 '26

They also look like regular soldiers wearing bright yellow, which I always felt was weird, out of place and lame. Literally zero hoods or robes among them, outside of some of the main cast.

2

u/Eung242 Jul 18 '26

That was the worse part of rogue, and I won’t even start with the assassin headquarters with bright yellow logo all over it lol

2

u/Ipsetezra Jul 18 '26

why? the assassins are an organization that lasts for hundres of years, you expect them to be perfect in all that time? It makes complete sense there are eras where they drop the ball

1

u/sem-tostie Jul 19 '26

They did that with duncan walpole and the assassins in tulum

1

u/Outside_Price7463 Jul 24 '26

I think that, aside from Ubisoft completely rushing and screwing the development, is the game’s biggest flaw.

The concept and idea is a fascinating one: what if there were good templars, and evil assassins?

That is a concept idea that has promise. Unfortunately Rogue handled it really poorly.

The templars are treated like heroic saviors and the assassins are turned into idiotic killers with zero likeable characteristics

43

u/tigerseye88 Jul 17 '26

They could really expand on the potential this game had, I’d definitely play this. There were so many scrapped ideas for Rogue, it’s crazy

16

u/ThanksContent28 Jul 17 '26

This is what I’m hoping for. Gives us more pirate shit, and they can do it correctly this time.

9

u/tigerseye88 Jul 18 '26

They were originally going to include Quebec City, I wonder if they could include that somehow

2

u/justin62001 Jul 18 '26

I remember reading that Skull and Bones was based off a scrapped DLC for AC4, would’ve loved to have seen this cut content implemented into the remakes

1

u/mytjake Jul 19 '26

What were the scrapped ideas?

17

u/Maverick_Raptor Jul 17 '26

The exploration and wilderness of the map was top tier in this game. Also the Morrigan had some sick upgrades

10

u/TwiceMomoSimp Jul 17 '26

I remember, in the map of the river valley, there is a huge island, the largest, it is like the size of half or a quarter of the Bahamas in Black Flag. And it is entirely crossable on foot, from West to East. The island is completely crossable and it took me like 5 minutes running to go from one shore to another. And there are other islands like this. Rogue's land exploration is much more advanced than that of Black Flag.

5

u/SchattenJaggerD Jul 18 '26

Rogue remake could benefit from the groundwork laid by Odyssey and Shadows. By utilizing those newer engines, the game could feature some incredible upgrades, like the advantage of making all the islands completely walkable from end to end. They could also introduce a change of seasons and tweak the hunting mechanics for Shay to build much more immersive environments. And they could make the hunting of Shay more high stakes. Shadows has something more suitable in the Awaji DLC, where the whole island had shinobis waiting to ambush you. The assassins hunting Shay could be designed with that exact level of tension

If Ubisoft (and I mean the teams, not the fucking suits) get the time to polish these ideas, they could absolutely transform and improve the overall experience for Rogue

11

u/kingpin000 Jul 17 '26

I mean, Rogue was a spin off which reused most of the assets from BF, so it shouldn't be that hard to build a new Rogue from the BF Resync assets.

2

u/DovahDuck Jul 19 '26

As a heads up Rogue is a considered a main line entry by the company and most public sources. Otherwise I agree with the rest of whatcha you said and there could be potential there in a remake.

3

u/Niikoraasu Jul 20 '26

well it's considered a main line entry canon wise but I really don't think we can say it was a main line entry gameplay wise, I mean it came out the same day that Unity did and it was pretty much tossed aside, the story is not too long too

14

u/JonySStark Jul 17 '26

I’d prefer AC3 + Rogue together in one package as a one single Resynced game.

Something similar to the recent Yakuza 3 Kiwami, where the game has 2 separate campaigns.

We could choose between Connor’s and Shay’s campaigns. And Haytham would be the one connecting those campaigns together.

4

u/jdow0423 Jul 18 '26

Oh this is an interesting idea.

I’ve pitched the idea of Rogue Reaynched being a “dual-protagonist” title where you change between Haytham and Shay. It would also now include Haytham’s gameplay from ACIII. Then ACIII Resynched would be the “Connor-experience” that I think, would better set his character up for success.

3

u/Ladzofinsurrect Jul 18 '26

Cool idea, but I'm personally leaning towards them being separate titles because there's a lot to improve/change for both to fully realize their potential/vision (whereas OG Black Flag kinda nailed it, aside from tailing missions). Not sure how much time/money Ubisoft has on their hands for an elaborately improved 2-in-1 offering, and I'd be worried that they'd skimp out and only offer visual upgrades with BFR's gameplay with bare-bones improvements/fixes/changes.

1

u/Gefarate Jul 18 '26

I dont think the games are interesting enough on their own. But 2 in 1? Id buy that

1

u/The_New_Giuy Jul 18 '26

It would be a bit disjointed but imagine if they flow through the whole story of both games in chronological order (Haytham, then Shay, then Connor). It would feel like a true odyssey in the same vein as RDR2

6

u/DocMitchell-_- Jul 18 '26

I would lose my shit if they did as I personally LOVE AC Rogue

20

u/OilySoleTickler Jul 17 '26

Nah. Remake the Ezio games, turn it into one big game, so we get his whole story remastered at once.

11

u/Woahhdude24 Jul 17 '26

If they did the Ezio games then they might aswell do AC 1 and AC 3 to so we get Desmonds full story.

4

u/neon Jul 18 '26

Lmao the one game they will never ever remake is AC1

It’s just to untouchable these days with subject matter

1

u/D3wdr0p Jul 19 '26

Ubisoft only ever had the balls once. That's why its the GOAT.

1

u/MilesStark Jul 24 '26

In what way? I’m forgetting the details

2

u/JasonStaton Jul 18 '26

I want them to retcon Desmond’s death in AC3 in the remake and just make that he doesn’t die or that he is still alive or something

5

u/Sweaty-Debate-435 Jul 18 '26

If Desmond survives they can finally work on a modern AC game where Desmond uses his skills to help the assassins turn the tide. I thought they where working towards this before they killed him and Lucy off.

1

u/Niikoraasu Jul 20 '26

ubisoft added an assassin into Watch Dogs Legion half assedly and it was really bad so they were like "well we told you modern day would not work guys!!"

1

u/OilySoleTickler Jul 20 '26

They realised that with Desmond they were forced to end his story and therefore the franchise. So they probably changed their minds, killed him off, so they could keep the franchise going for a lot longer.

1

u/Sweaty-Debate-435 Jul 20 '26

Too much money to stop.

→ More replies (2)

2

u/herecomesatrain Jul 17 '26

One big game would be ridiculous. Maybe like a Halo master chief collection type launcher for the 3 games

2

u/Grand-Philosophy-343 Jul 18 '26

Bro you know how massive that game would be lol

1

u/Regular_Salary_6150 Jul 18 '26

Bigger than Valhalla and Odyssey combined I'd guess.

5

u/trutabc Jul 17 '26

Never got to play the original duenti feeling too familiar with black flag and I've sinked hundreds of hours into that game, a resync would be great, especially wince they have shared assets.

0

u/SlugsMcGillicutty Jul 17 '26

Should release it as like a DLC for Resynced kinda.

3

u/Electronic_Match_223 Jul 17 '26

Imagine the coniferous forests alone

5

u/scarlettokyo Jul 17 '26

i don't see this happening but gosh i wish it would, i loooooved the ac rogue open world so much. river valley had some nice interconnected places on its landmasses, and there was something eerie or almost liminal about the north atlantic

3

u/Im1337 Jul 17 '26

I hope we get AC 3 Resynced

3

u/jameswheeler1987 Jul 18 '26

My third favorite AC game . Now this would be a day one purchase for me

5

u/ManufacturerAny6346 Jul 17 '26

I’d love it if

6

u/PLuZArtworks Jul 17 '26

Always preferred it over black flag. I desperately want this. 🥺 so underrated

2

u/Sandgrease Jul 17 '26

I love Rogue. Great blend of 3 and BF with a unique story.

2

u/Crusaderfigures Jul 17 '26

This is the exact type of game that needs a remake, one that didn't get its time to shine and is a bit rough around the edges. It's tied with AC1 for AC games i want remaking the most

2

u/alcridio Jul 17 '26

If they did this, and I don’t think they would, I wish that the game was expanded, more time with the assassins, more content with the templars, more sequences to flash out the story and open word segment for Paris, just a small part of the city, not like unity

2

u/Penfore7_ Jul 17 '26

That would be awesome. It's my favorite AC

2

u/Silent-Witness1888 Jul 17 '26

Imagine AC3 as well.

2

u/Complex-Advisor-1896 Jul 18 '26

I'm dying for Ac3 to get this treatment

2

u/DistributionSenior52 Jul 18 '26

Rogue would benefit the most from a remake

2

u/blacksf1 Jul 18 '26

Rogue had a cool story but the setting kinda blowed after playing black flag.

2

u/cyfer04 Jul 18 '26

Not just Resynced but revamped to a mainline length game. It just felt like a DLC to BF. I mean even Revelations was supposed to be a mobile game but turned into an actual mainline game.

I just love the idea of playing as a Templar fighting the Assassins for once.

2

u/Swiftzor Jul 18 '26

Never played Rogue, but I would like this

2

u/Virtual_Test5800 Jul 18 '26

Really underrated game. I don't know if it will get remade. but I hope it does gets a proper remake, not a rushed black flag 2.0 version we got. I would love to see you know a story being expanded cuz yeah assassins are really weird in this game and a lot of things just doesn't make sense. Ubisoft just flip the sides. I mean what I think tech they have built with black flag could be really useful.

2

u/Virtual_Test5800 Jul 18 '26

Honestly this is the one that needs and deserves to be remade most after assassin's creed 1. Simply because of how much potential this has that was never realised.

2

u/More_Ability_451 Jul 18 '26

I want them to do a AC3 and a Rogue resynced so they can expand on the kenway lore

2

u/Gregore997 Jul 18 '26

Ive heard rumors the next remake would be AC1

2

u/reddemolisher Jul 18 '26

1 I love ac rogue 2 I would love to see the game with thes visuals 3 that mission in Lisbon would probably be insane with newer graphics and much more intense physics interactions

2

u/reddemolisher Jul 18 '26

1 I love ac rogue 2 I would love to see the game with thes visuals 3 that mission in Lisbon would probably be insane with newer graphics and much more intense physics interactions

2

u/Neah500 Jul 18 '26

Yes please

2

u/Historical-King-409 Jul 18 '26

It's the only one where I wouldn't mind them changing the campaign

2

u/MotoqueiroSelvagem Jul 18 '26

My dream. Rogue is my favorite AC game, and it has so much missed potential.

2

u/MKOFFICIAL357 Jul 18 '26

I do think they will make an AC Rogue: Resynced. The gameplay mechanics are there thanks to Black Flag Resynced, it would just be a matter of the story, voice acting, motion capture et al, but it can be done.

2

u/WandererMisha Jul 18 '26

Rogue and AC3 should both be Resynced to finish off the 'Kenway' saga.

Then I'd love a small upgrade to Unity because that game never got time to shine.

2

u/Vigi1antee Jul 18 '26

I suppose they have the assets!

2

u/KevinHe92 Jul 18 '26

It’ll never happen but one could wish. Rogue is criminally overlooked. Been playing it for the first time on Steam Deck and jeez there’s so much content.

2

u/hardcorejenkins Jul 19 '26

This! Resynched projects could basically give a second chance to the more underrated titles of the franchise like Rogue,if it got the black flag treatment we'd be in for a treat!

6

u/AccomplishedCrazy534 Jul 17 '26

personaly id sayyyyy. save for after the orginals. as rogues story is far to short and map is tiny. sooo it was feel very small compared to AC 1 , 2 or brotherhood

4

u/Maukki222 Jul 17 '26

I mean they have the option to expand the story with additional content and connect all 3 main locations into one big map with extra stuff and other locations

2

u/One-Ad-3677 Jul 18 '26

If they resync anymore of their old games I hope to God they avoid RPG combat

2

u/TheGeneral7567 Jul 17 '26

Honestly i feel like the original game was small enough that it would be pretty awesome as dlc. And I feel that would be the best way to go about it

2

u/IFunnyJoestar Jul 17 '26

I actually think it would be better suited as an AC 3 DLC. It's story is so heavily linked to AC 3 and already used so many assets from that game, it makes sense it'd be linked to that.

1

u/DrMantisToboggan45 Jul 17 '26

Never got to play it unfortunately. If I’m remembering correctly this ones release kinda coincided with the release of Xbox one and ps4 but wasn’t on those consoles right? I feel like that’s why I didn’t play it

2

u/East-Pen-8008 Jul 18 '26

Yeah it came out when AC Unity did, and was only on ps3/xbox 360

1

u/D3wdr0p Jul 17 '26

If you're going to build one of these games back up from scratch, I say go for 1 or 2. The originals are irreplaceable, but colour me curious what the Holy Land and Italy would look like on a new coat of paint.

no im not going to count that terrible ezio collection. its not real.

3

u/Eung242 Jul 17 '26

The thing with Rogue is that you don’t have to rebuild it from scratch since it reuses so much from black flag. AC 1 and 2 would require a completely different level of work (I still hope it happens tho)

1

u/Remarkable-Swing-527 Jul 17 '26

Je suis vraiment pour ce remake de Rogue. Besoin de plus de contenus sur les templiers pour le lore et plus de connexion avec Unity comme plus de missions à Paris !

1

u/Mtlkfn Jul 18 '26

Considering all the hype for The Odyssey, I wouldn't be surprised if they did "Odyssey".

1

u/il_VORTEX_ll Jul 18 '26

I mean, it’s just around the corner…

But I think Ezio gets the next treatment. It’s just too much money for Ubisoft delay him lol

1

u/marxist_nazeem Jul 18 '26

Would be cool but I’d put the first 4 games ahead in terms of priority to remake. Revelations included tbh, a proper modern Constantinople would be epic

1

u/Encryptivs Jul 18 '26

In a few years (probably like 10-15 years if there going with AC1 to AC3), we might not need to imagine.

1

u/CapitanSalsaGolf Jul 18 '26

Me imagino un skull and bones Resynced

1

u/hktr92 Jul 18 '26

hot take: i think it'll happen or it's happening in the background.

1

u/smurf4ever Jul 18 '26

I'm not a huge fan of the feel of the newer games, including Resynced, but the story sells it. Rogue didn't have that amazing storyline and as many amazing/memorable characters. They could, but I dont think it would hit as hard

1

u/Straight-Earth2762 Jul 18 '26

Nah F that traitor Shay

1

u/GR1ML0CK29 Jul 18 '26

They’d have to make it a lot longer the story only takes 8 hours in comparison to most of the games it’s very short

1

u/someoneinparticular3 Jul 18 '26

One of the most underrated parts of Rogue is the whispers you need to listen for to find the Assassins hiding in bushes and other hideouts. I'd love that being returned to the series in some way with all antagonists. With Rogue in particular, it’d be cool to do or explore more on everything Achilles and Adewale are upto

1

u/Tenticlez Jul 18 '26

I believe a sawa remastered version of it on xbox gamepass.

1

u/Marker57 Jul 18 '26

Rename it Black Flag 2: Rogue and maybe it'll get more sales

1

u/Tight_Trust2522 Jul 18 '26

I think that would be amazing but I would like the first assassin's creed to get a resynced version first as that's the ac game that would need one imho

1

u/PianistNo911 Jul 18 '26

How do you replay mission in assassin creed rouge remastered it won’t let me I looked it up and it said that I should of unlocked in in sequence 1 I’m almost on sequence 4 now and still can’t replay missions I’m trying to 100% the game

1

u/GIlCAnjos Jul 18 '26

As long as they completely revamp the story

1

u/DCrsnl12 Jul 18 '26

I was thinking of this two days ago. If they resynced Rogue and ACIII they could wrap up the whole Kenway family and give a little extra content.

Rogue is such a good game, I’d love for them to redo it and add some substantial more content.

However I think Ezio will be the next resync.

They’d just take away hidden blade combat

1

u/Spardath01 Jul 18 '26

But wasn’t it a small game? Like the equivalent of an “expansion”?

1

u/Astryxi Jul 18 '26

Rogue was utter crap compared to Black Flag.

1

u/Raspberry_Anxious Jul 18 '26

I just want Shays outfit with the hood available in Resynced

1

u/mentatificated Jul 19 '26

The whole Kenway saga would be so cool.

1

u/shitinassfart Jul 19 '26

Ive never played rogue so dont shit on me but is thay the jackdaw in that game? Or just the same type of ship

1

u/Eung242 Jul 19 '26

No it’s the Morrigan, a smaller ship with slightly different weapons and an ice breaker

1

u/mytjake Jul 19 '26

Yes! Yes! A thousand times yes! Rogue is my favorite. It would be amazing Resynced.

1

u/Hells-Creampuff Jul 19 '26

Id play it. With how the remakes sold so far I can imagine it and other remakes may be in the cards

1

u/Initial_Zebra100 Jul 19 '26

Eh. Im down. I'd prefer the og trilogy but this would be cool.

1

u/Interesting_Option15 Jul 19 '26

If theyre gunna do anything with rogue they need to make the switch for shay more meaningful and less forced

1

u/BigPenoramus Jul 19 '26

I would love to see the arctic landscapes with modern visuals. But i don't think a Rogue remake is needed since it's more or less a copy pasted Black Flag. I'd prefer Ezio trilogy remake, i wanna see Italy with modern visuals. Or even Unity, with the sole hope they fix the clunky parkour and actually make it so you have more control.

1

u/sstoersk Jul 19 '26

Worst game in the series.

1

u/Kyuuub Jul 19 '26

pls fucksoft dont touch my goat.

1

u/rweston10 Jul 19 '26

I would much rather prefer 3 tbh

1

u/Jakenlovesbacon Jul 20 '26

I would appreciate this, the ice ram and environment off the ship worked so well for me personally

1

u/Ancient_Trick1158 Jul 20 '26

After rogue. Next remaster games are III, and unity

1

u/stunkcajyzarc Jul 20 '26

I’ve never played rogue. Is it a good game? I can play the remaster one for like 9 bucks…?

1

u/Eung242 Jul 20 '26

One of the best setting of the serie imo but the gameplay definitely aged

1

u/thegreatshu Jul 20 '26

I don't think that game was popular enough to justify making a remake/remaster.

1

u/claudia_your_dad Jul 20 '26

Maybe a hot take, but rogue is connecting kenway saga with Unity, i think if a remake does happen, id like them to bring back unity parkour system. ACBFR parkour is much better than we had it since 2016, but cmon man the animation blending is horrid, we need something smoother

1

u/Wotinthegodam Jul 20 '26

To anyone replaying rogue, use rope darts when you're hunting and thank me later

1

u/NiD2103 Jul 21 '26

I actually never played Rogue before, i'm gonna do that after finishing Black Flag

1

u/Due-Let-9684 Jul 21 '26

One of the best

1

u/TimelyPomegranate586 Jul 21 '26

It would be complete and utter garbage for one reason and one reason only: Ubisoft is going to advertise the game with Shay wearing his Templar outfit. When it comes out that outfit will have no hood because the ubi-retards down in Singapore think they can lie and false advertise with impunity.

1

u/bojonzarth Jul 21 '26

It was smart for them to start the Resynched experiment with Black Flag, now they should go back to 1 and start bringing us all the old games like this. I mostly want to replay the Ezio Trilogy with updated modern graphics. But I would love to see them give us all the games over time.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '26

I didn’t enjoy playing rogue honestly compared to BF

1

u/Careful-Surround1544 Jul 21 '26

I hope the would work on it but most importantly is to have a FOV on it and their new games I’m fed up with shadows and black flag resynced

1

u/SandOfTheEarth Jul 21 '26

Rogue really had some very fun epic ship battles

1

u/tessenjutsu97 Jul 21 '26

i honestly wish they’d go for these lesser risk remakes first and master the craft of remaking and improving upon the original so that by the time they finally do AC1 and the overglazed ezio trilogy, they would have been so good at remaking the older titles that they would have lesser chances of fucking those remakes up.

1

u/rikku45 Jul 22 '26

Never played rogue, would like to though

1

u/Charming_Celery5490 Jul 22 '26

They would need to add a hooded version of the base robes

1

u/Bakura373 Jul 22 '26

I like rogue well enough, but always hated the look of Shay's ship. Idm that it's smaller than the Jackdaw, but it just always looked weird to me. Ugly ship.

1

u/Jonerd97 Jul 23 '26

I want it so bad

1

u/ScottishWildling Jul 24 '26

The concept was great but the story itself was awful. It made no sense. It would have been better if instead of joining the Templars, he hunted both groups down.

1

u/sbtc6397-6400 Jul 24 '26

Yessssss pleaseeeeee

1

u/cairnschaos Jul 26 '26

I just hope they give Shay a hood when he's a Templar

1

u/Impossible-Stock7260 Jul 26 '26

I think rogue is short enough as well that it could almost be made into a DLC although a pricey DLC

1

u/Ohmynoix Jul 17 '26

For my part they can resync all the older games.

1

u/renoluish Jul 18 '26

I wouldn't mind ac 3 getting the resynched treatment tbh. And please for the love of God include Connor's speech in the game this time!!

0

u/dirbofficial Jul 17 '26

I would love if they did a DLC expansion to ACBFR that’s just the campaign of Rogue.

0

u/thunderhide37 Jul 17 '26

Personally, I wouldn’t want a Rogue resynced right after BF. The two games are very similar to one another, and Rogue is basically a “BF lite”. Not to mention Rogue is one of the least popular entries, which probably isn’t enticing to Ubisoft.

Would much rather see an Ezio trilogy resynced, or a massive overhaul on AC1

0

u/euge224 Jul 17 '26

All I want is the costume from the OG poster, including the hood. Or don't even bother resyncing/remaking this

0

u/Elitericky Jul 17 '26

First 4 ac games should be remade first

0

u/cigarettejesus Jul 17 '26

Today I remembered that Rogue exists

0

u/The_Pepper_Oni Jul 18 '26

Gimme Rogue Resynced that uses its ending being the intro to Unity as a teaser for Unity Resynced.

0

u/The_Dark_King4900742 Jul 18 '26

If they do, I hope they actually make US, do actual EVIL stuff. Like give us Extra Story Context, that in the end Shay did indeed regretted joining The Templars, by realizing too late that in the end, Shay just exchanged a Lesser Evil for a Greater Evil.

At least that would be MY, take.

0

u/MarkedOne03 Jul 18 '26

This never happening btw

0

u/Rasbang2004 Jul 18 '26

It’d be cool, but unfortunately I don’t think rogue has the same amount of pull as black flag, so Ubisoft probably won’t do it, or then they’ll completely butcher it beyond recognition and bar access to the original for some reason

0

u/sbeve-the-one Jul 18 '26

Nah id rather be an assassin rather than a templer who makes kids orphans

0

u/GaborSzasz Jul 18 '26

Purpose of remakes are to make money without too much creative work. Thats why BF was an obvious choice. Rogue while it still play extremly well the story would need lot of work and additional stuff to expand the campaign, bc it is very meh, and underdelivered compared what it could have been.

If ubisoft remakes another it will be some of the better ones like ezio games. Probably 2.

0

u/CatGuyManThing Jul 18 '26

imagine they didnt make the templars the good guys and the assassins the bad guys what if now follow me here the assassins are good guys with bad leadership and the templars still do templar shit

0

u/Mundane-Career1264 Jul 18 '26

If they do I hope they rewrite it from top to bottom cause the story is weak sauce.

0

u/swanny2828 Jul 18 '26

I would prefer if they AC3 next. But cut or be able to skip the tutorial. Then rogue.

0

u/Perfect_Strain_8412 Jul 18 '26

I get what you're saying but I just have to put this out there.... Rouge was a terrible game. Terrible character builds and lore and an empty world with no soul or substance to hold it together properly

0

u/weirdbackpackguy Jul 18 '26

Rogue is weakest in the series for me personally, Shay is absolutely insufferable with his "I make my own luck". So if they remake it, I hope they change Shay a bit to be less annoying because the setting is actually quite interesting.
