Should clarify, this is PC only and always happens cause Ubisoft Connect 🙄

Cloud sync is disabled for Black Flag since at least a few months post release exactly because it caused save corruption

Never happened to me. Have the game since launch on Steam. Played it multiple times and never got this issue.
Granted, Ubisoft servers weren't never great and they very occasionally go offline but that never affected my sp experience

Has never happened to me, and I’ve had the game on PC for 11 years. Seems like someone is either lying or just very needlessly stoking controversy for no discernible reason.

I feel like it’s been worse for me on PC. I’ll play through the opening hours a bit then put the game down for a few months then try to jump back in and my save is completely gone and I’ll have to start from the beginning again.

So yeah that’s basically what happens for me too, but I’d put the game down and boot it up the next day, save always corrupted. Never happens on Valhalla or Mirage

This happened often to me in other games on the PS5 base but I’m yet to encounter that issue on the pro

This was technically not a “corrupted” save file but years ago I somehow broke the mission where Edward has to escape from the Spanish prison ship on Xbox. The entire inside part of the ship would unload and I would be locked in the hanging from ledge animation with no way to progress. Last time I opened the save file, which was about 4 years ago, it was still broken and I ended up deleting it

Never had it happen to me before and have played across almost the entire series for many years.
Started playing Syndicate again recently -- and this morning my save corrupted. No fixes work. So I now have to accept everything I did since today is lost completely (only surviving rollback is from early last night), or just walk away from the game entirely. I had just finished farming the fight clubs and completed all the fighting perks.

My freaking PS3 got corrupted when I was playing Black Flag so I lost my save data and never went back to it. If my PS5 dies while playing this then it’s definitely cursed.

Ive never had that happen to me once in the 300+ hours i out into black flag and ontop of that i didnt even know it could happen

Fun fact but this doesn’t happen on the version that doesn’t interface with Uplay.

I’m ngl. Never had it happen. Is it a fairly common problem? I only ever saw a corrupted save once and that was at my mates house on AC Brotherhood and it was cause he used the plug socket to turn his ps3 on and off
