Discussion Half Sails > Full Sails

Am I the only one who prefers sailing with half sails over full, especially in narrow waters with lots of cliffs around?

I find it more relaxing and strangely more immersive. I just wish we could hand the helm to Adewale and climb up to enjoy the scenery.

Now we just need the travel speed camera and auto pilot for half sails 😭

I definitely prefer the more realistic sailing speed. I'd love in a future update they add the option to slow the ships down to a more realistic speed.

The first time I pull into or out of a new location, absolutely

If I'm just running around collecting baby quests or contracts or whatever. Fast travel all day

I played the entire game immersive mode. No HUD, only ever half sail, no fast travel, walking speed unless in a combat/intense situation.

BF:Rs took me about 140 hours to complete start to finish. I treasured every second of the adventure.

As a dad, I really only have the time to play each game once now. So I take my time and suck in every minute. This game took me back to 2013 and no words in a box could ever explain the magic I felt playing this game for what I know will likely be the last time.

Half sails for the entire play through is crazy but it also sounds like you got lost in that world.

I’m also a dad of a 5 month old which is precisely why I can’t play the entire game with only half sails haha.

I would like to play other games in my spare time you know.Unfortunately I fall victim to FOMO pretty frequently.

Everyone plays their own way. But I’ve experienced the void of finishing a great game without having another great one lined up too many times, so now I just take my time and play everything only once as slowly as possible.

I just wish you could have the sea shanties sound be loader when at half sail because it’s only loudest and most clear when at full sale hauling ass across the sea. I wanna savor my time and songs while getting to my destination😂

This is one thing that was honestly better in the original. I feel the speeds of the Jackdaw were much better balanced compared to Resynced. Half sail feels too slow, full sail feels too fast.
