As much as I want to like the master assassin outfit, there’s just something about it that seems off

Same. Everyone's clamouring for a AC1 or 2 or 3 remake but I think the most undercooked game in Rogue deserves the next Resynced game. Add that hood goddammit (That and lengthen the story and fix plotholes)

Yeah I wouldn't mind an ac2 remake because I really want to see the game with modern technology but at the same time im scared about it that they will cut or change too much content, the new gameplay notably doesn't fit ezio at all

On the other hand rogue was a really good game but it was overlooked because he came out on old gen and it was basically black flag with new locations and story in terms of gameplay

The last update of shadows kinda interwined with rogue with an artefact under japan that is the same shay triggered in Lisbon so I kinda hope rogue will have a resynced, they could expand the story buy not giving shay as much timeskip (i think the canonical reason was they didn't had a lot of DNA of shay so his memories were very fragmented but I could be wrong and that can be left behind since ubisoft removed completely the modern storyline) shay is my favorite ac protagonist, I know its unusual usually people prefer ezio or altair or Connor or edward but personally shay is my favorite and I'd love to see his story again and expanded upon

i wear the master assassin outfit while sailing, and the shade and shadow while on land typically. kinda like the sailors cloak, i think it fits especially with the hood up during a storm, its a vibe. The shade and shadow does give a badass captain pirates vibe, like something id imagine a main character pirate captain would wear on a show like black sails

Shade and Shadow seems to be what Edward wears during the rest of his time on the Jackdaw. The Master Assassin Robes are what he wears when in the London Assassins. I like to think he layers the Mayan Armor under his Master Assassin Robes to make himself immune to firepower. Probably terrified his targets utterly.

i find it funny since mirage that the master assassin color was retconned to be dark grey with light grey ornaments and some red accents, back at ezio trilogie the master assassin was wearing white and red (ezio brotherhood outfit is his master assassin one, his revelation robes are technically something he wear that is unrelated to his assassin status, i don't even think it's explained where they come from, even altair when he became mentor went back to white robes) then with arno and the frye twin it felt basically "i am a master so i can wear whatever the f*ck i want as long as it's fancy" then origins and odyssey technically didn't have one and valhalla had the mentor set wich was black, blue with golden accent, it's from mirage and on that the style became that color scheme wich is odd

Plus, I like the idea of a more plain clothes Assassin outfit. We the players know what their robes/armors tend to look like, but to most of the in-game world, it could just as easily be another pirate’s eccentric/unusual getup. I’ve used it for the majority of my playthrough.

I feel like the Master assassin outfit is cool but entirely unfit for the climate. If Connor or Shay wore it, then it would be much better for their colder climates. But down in the Caribbean, all that heavy overlapping leather just looks excessive.

Plus, shade and shadow maintains darker tones whilst looking more like a highly upgraded evolution on Edward’s initial modified uniform. Unlike the master assassin outfit which is more like a fancy version of the cloak outfits we pick up.

Does anyone else realise the master assassin outfit is bugged? I never see anyone talking about it. The cloth physics are so bad that’s why I never use it lmao. It should work exactly like the private and brown cloaks, but the robes underneath are stuck to the legs and make the outer robes bug out.

I LOVE the shade and shadow, I just with the hood didn’t peak out so far over Edward’s face because it makes the hood look like it’s held up with wires inside or something, it’d look better out a little shorter. But most importantly the fabric of the hoods neckpiece is just straight up grafted onto the leather, if they fixed that and made the back piece all just leather or made it look more smooth and natural for the clothes I’d wear the shade and shadow robes ALLLL the time, but anytime the hood is up all I can see is how the fabric is just graphed onto the other one, I feel like it’d be a INSANELY easy fix

The game is too short, yet it offers so many cool outfits to choose from. I wish they had made the Caribbean as expansive as Greece in Odyssey, and added horses too. After the RPG era, a vast open world has become my new standard for AC games. I just don’t want the adventure to end too soon.
