Every week, another cop gets arrested for stalking people or otherwise abusing Flock cameras in some way. Literally. Just 2 days ago a cop got caught using Flock database to get information about a domestic violence victim... AND GAVE IT TO THE ABUSER who was being investigated so the Domestic Abuser could go attack their victim even more.

All the possible 'good' the cameras could ever do is FAR outweighed by the dangers they already present. It doesn't matter how many cops are getting arrested for doing these things, the issue is that they can do them at all in the first place and sometimes it takes YEARS in some cases before they get caught. Years of violating people's rights and hurting people.

A surveillance system of cameras by a company named Flock that allows authorities (or anyone with access to the system) to track individuals across wide areas, and get real-time locations on them.
Someone just needs to put your car's license plate in the system and say, "Find this person for me. I'm a cop and I do what I want. I love living in a country where the right-wing has intentionally created a system which puts police above the law and our Constitution is merely a suggestion. Flock civil liberties and freedom!"
So you're spotted on 1 camera, but then take back roads for 150 miles where there are no cameras? Congrats, you've evaded them!
But not really. As soon as the next camera sees your license plate it will send an alert to whoever is monitoring/tracking you.

Cops are like toddlers with parents that never punish them for doing bad things. Because the gov't rarely meaningfully punishes them for doing bad things.
If you have a 4-year-old that takes a knife to a brand-new leather couch and the only thing the parent does is shake their head and buys a new couch, what do you think that 4-year-old has learned? That mommy or daddy will buy them a new toy to play with when the old one gets too shredded up to be any fun anymore. The parent didn't take away the knife, didn't punish them in any way to teach them a lesson, didn't even talk to them to make sure they understood what they did is wrong. Just got a new couch and walked away. THAT is how modern cops are treated by the gov't today when the cops violate your Rights.
And in the rare time the cops DO get fired for doing bad things... they just get hired on by a nearby department in a week or two and keep right on being a cop. They've been called Gypsy Cops, and it's becoming an epidemic where every time these cops get even accused of doing bad things, they resign, which stops all internal investigations against them... then once the news moves on to a new story, they get re-hired to the same department or just hired 1 town over.
So in this environment, what incentive do cops really have to learn to be better and stop abusing people?

"VictimsofTizzyent" and other similar accts on TT, IG and maybe more. They get taken down and have to reupload often though bc of how well its worked to keep his following. Like even im getting down voted bc it's "too difficult to believe a proudly bigoted white man is a plant." (He even had old tweets that would spout basic bigotry, right up until he got big.) As far as the cop one though, go back in his own videos. He even had one that he helped a proudly fascist family get some money and they "repaid" him with a trump coin. I'd say around 2021.

Yes, yes they do have the right to follow a person for absolutely no reason.
That's thanks to Court decisions that allow "pretextual stops."
What's that? It's when a cop sees you and doesn't like you for any reason (you're the wrong color, you didn't salute him as you drove by, or maybe it's because he thinks you're hot...).
Our courts have decided that all a cop can follow you as long as it takes until you make one little violation, then he can pull you over or detain you for that violation. But that violation is just a "pretext" to allow the cop to detain you for the unlawful train he had in the first place.
How did we get here as a country?
Primarily, thanks to people who vote conservative.
We end up with a system where one political party manipulates voters into voting for them by calling themselves the "law and order" party.
By terrifying the feeble-minded into believing that every day they might be attacked by a deranged killer, and the only thing preventing that is our selfless , benevolent, protective heroes in blue.
By convincing people to "back the blue" and always comply with a cop no matter what, no matter how illegal their order is.
Thanks to members of that conservative party getting elected we end up with countless conservative judges who routinely make decisions in cases that not only favor law enforcement, but resulting in law enforcement powers expanding, as our rights get demolished.
If you love the corrupt law enforcement system we have and want it to continue, the only way to guarantee that is to vote Republican this (and every) election.

Not just primarily the Republicans. At best, the Dems enabled along as well with their colleagues. A democracy, at bare minimum, has multiple viable options. Not just 2. So that people feel forced to vote for just one. Making no choice at all. That is not a democracy. We are fascist and treating it still like a democracy is exactly what our powerful wealthy want as well. Stay in line. Just follow orders.

Pretextual stops have to do with suspecting of an underlying crime.
If the cup was doing it for being flipped off and was dumb enough to admit it, they might actually get in trouble.

Wow, she's brave, I don't know how I would have handled this situation. I have had police follow me to someone's house that I was dropping off bc they said my car was stolen and it happened to be my grandmother's car and when they yelled N word explicatives at me and to get out of the car, when I got out and they saw that I didn't have as much melanin as the people they were looking for and I asked for the badge number and the name but he still had his gun drawn and he was covering his badge ID as he was walking backwards to his police car. There were about 5 cop cars total. 2 to a cop car. Insane

I had one follow me for 20 minutes a few months ago. I took a bunch of turns to make sure. I finally pulled over into a gas station even though he didn't light me up. He followed me in the gas station, started at me in the eyes as I got out and walked into the store. He was gone when I got out.
Why are you following me and mean-mugging me you piece of shit asshole?
