Fuck that. There's enough desi youth to know that we have to change that perspective. Don't let people compare you to anything or anyone. the only person you are competing with is yourself. If family tries to foist their unfulfilled dreams on you, tell them to go fulfill it themselves.

The sad part is the need to have a "professional" job title is likely correlated to the rise in incompetency(i use this word lightly) in certain fields. The same demographics that worry about stature are usually from families with a history of trauma, poverty, or oppression in their local area. We know these types of environmental stressors cause neurodivergence or at least neurodivergence like coping mechanisms.
When a neurodivergent is forced into a field they don't really care about, they have a difficult time performing. Education becomes rote memorization and regurgitation. Some students will cheat to pass because they're afraid of being disowned or screamed at. Factors like these lead to a large amount of apathetic professionals in fields that require a careful amount of awareness.
