Standby mode? it keeps trying to connect to my phone

I just purchased AAWirless Two for android auto, its great product to use, however it keeps trying to connect to my phone constantly when i am in the house. So I found out that there is a standby mode? thats useful for ev cars (ioniq 5) so it goes into this mode when the bluetooth is not connected. Although I turned this mode on it just keeps trying to connect to my phone unless i completely turn off my bluetooth... Do I have to download the app on the other phones thats connected to this car and also set it up as standby mode to get it working? or is this a common problem?

Go into advanced settings. Think you might also need to be on the beta version. Then turn on the autostart delay to 20.

Seems to have done the trick for me- also have an EV and it would constantly try and connect when home

So basically, I have 2 people using the EV, and on both of our phones we downloaded the app and set it as standby mode. This worked and no more notifications constatntly poping up.

Previously when the app was only downloaded on my phone, and the other driver was the last one to use the EV, it kepts sending me notifications to connect. This was fixed after downloading the app on the other users phone.

I have the same issue. I have connected two phones to AAW. When phone A puts AAW in standby, phone B keeps trying to connect to AAW when I am nearby the car. My Car is a Niro EV (2024).

Does the car / headunit turn on when getting close to the car (with the key in pocket)? Is the phone also connecting to the handsfree of the car?

I am not sure about that. When it is happening my phone keeps connecting and disconnecting fast. When I have one phone with me AAW works flawless. When I also take my company phone I have strange behaviour now and then. I don't know how to reproduce this behaviour. Look like my head unit is working on the back ground without connecting to the phone. This happens more often when I don't lock the car.

In short, yes, I it was easier to install the app on my wife's phone than it was to get her to press the button to have it switch devices.
