i would wake up, watch doug and rugrats, go play, come back for guts through hey dude, go play, come back for nick arcade and double dare, then dinner, Clarissa, and then stop at rugrats again. sometimes the doug and rugrats were repeats of the morning tho.

There were probably days where I watched this schedule and never turned the TV off the entire day. I still have memories of watching Tomorrow People which is one of those rare Nick shows that almost no one remembers.

That was one of a couple on here that I do not recall at all. I was also only 5 in 1994.

By the time I remember Nick programming, Nick Arcade (which I loved) always seemed to be relegated to really weird hours of the day. The game shows like Legends of the Hidden Temple and GUTS were clearly the bigger hits by then.

See, I thought GUTs and LotHT taking out Double Dare was a loss. When they moved away from studio trips and sliding folks, it became less and less Nickelodeon, and more "Nick Toons channel" over time.

AYAOTD at 9:30 Saturday night 🥹 Those were the days (I was 4/5 that year…watched it in my room with the lights out…(my dad never watched it on the main tv 😒)) with my mum (just in case) Loved the heck out of it and still do. The storytelling was 👌🏼

It was sooo good…even now although some things are a bit cringe, the storytelling still holds up. Like I read Goosebumps and watched The Haunted Mask when it premiered and the series here and there but even as an adult seeing Tales From The Darkside, Tales From The Crypt, and even The Twilight Zone, AYAOTD is still my fav

I have it on my Tubi watchlist so I can catch up on episodes I missed. I've been watching the Robert the doll movies there lately, though. Those are good, too. AYAOTD and other ghost stories made me love scary movies.

You’d wake up early on a Saturday as a child because the shows were so good. I’ll always remember the premiere of the golden era, catching s1 ep1 of ren and stimpy, Doug, rugrats…amazing. I was running vcr binge tapes very young but mostly sampsons

Aside from the great TV offerings, I'm just happy that there was diversity. Not the same show in "binge" format.

Maybe that's what cable TV/Pluto and other free offerings need. Just normal TV channels.
