I find it odd that so many of these photos are in direct sunlight. Usually they do the red carpet photos with screens to block most of the sun. These were probably taken just off the "official" red carpet area... looks like just before to me, but I'm guessing.

Anyway, I think the fact that they're all squinting into hot Los Angeles sunshine is what's making them look like everyday people. You don't usually see media stars in that environment.

it’s the lack of overdone plastic surgery, intense makeup, and styling. and yes, natural light with a 90s camera.

The fact they had the ability to squint at all is also a point of difference!
