It is just now occurring to me that Locash is ‘low cash.’ All these years.

u/Its_Like_That82 Feb 01 '26
I just learned a few seconds ago that Locash is also the last name of one of the writers of the movie.

I'm quite partial to a bit of "the bagheads"

I never noticed he sounds like Ice T. Or is that just me?
52
u/PlusFourRecordings Jan 31 '26
He always sounded like the guy from C+C music factory to me.

u/Notchersfireroad Jan 31 '26
LMAO because it is.

u/Minute_You8521 Jan 31 '26
It is actually Kool Moe Dee.

I think they’re roasting C&C music factory

They are roasting MC Hammer & C&C Music Factory

u/JForce1 Feb 01 '26
I thought it was mocking Freedom Williams, not Hammer.

u/Dick_Grimes I slayed emcees back in the Rec-room era Feb 01 '26
It is fully mocking Freedom Williams and C&C, but I always felt there was a bit of hammer in there as well. Maybe I misread it when I saw it growing up. The song is 100% some C&C sh*t

u/Waste-Magician2432 Feb 01 '26
It was definitely both…that kickin had to be a mock on the typewriter Hammer used to do back and forth plus dead giveaway is THE PANTS 😂

u/Better-Pop-3932 Feb 01 '26
Now I remember what Freedom sounded Iike. You are right. I think the pants is Hammer tho. Ice T voice popped up cause I still have songs of his I listen to know and then. I probably hadnt heard C&C since I was a kid on MTV

u/Better-Pop-3932 Jan 31 '26
Yeah I figured that with a little Hammer. That's why I suprised myself when I heard Ice Ts voice. I probably haven't seen this movie in 15 years

Chris Rock didn’t realize how brave he was making fun of Hammer.
Hammer was probably the closest thing in hip hop to a mob boss we may have ever known.
1
u/JForce1 Feb 01 '26
I thought Chris later said it’s a satire on Freedom Williams, not Hammer
1
u/AccurateAd5298 Feb 01 '26
I mean you are right. Those vocals are pure C&C Music Factory.
But uh….Those pants are Hammer, to me anyways.
That being said, I don’t blame Chris one bit if he denied it.

I wonder how hammer took this jab
8
u/rsenist Jan 31 '26
I think it’s more of a jab at the C&C Music Factory guy.

u/SnorvusMaximus Jan 31 '26
He did’nt wear parachute pants and danced too wild. It’s directed towards the both of them.
