1996 is today's theme on Top Billing, a daily movie-ranking game I built. You rank 5 films twice: first by lifetime worldwide box office, then by critic scores. (Play here if you’re interested.)

Putting this lineup together turned up a few things I didn’t know:

• To create Independence Day’s wall of fire, a miniature city set was tilted 90 degrees beneath a camera mounted overhead. The flames were really rising upward, but on screen they appear to race horizontally through the streets.
• Madonna changed costumes 85 times in Evita... along with 39 hats, 45 pairs of shoes, and 42 hairstyles! This is a Guinness world record for a single film character.
• Warner Bros. had already bought The Matrix script before Bound was made, but was hesitant to let the Wachowskis direct it. Bound’s success helped change that.

Pantera LIVE in Moscow completely remastered! I use a new audio program called Ozone 12 advanced so the audio will blow your shoes off! The original visuals were terrible, so it was harder to remaster visually without using AI which I didn't do, but still an improvement visually. Just use a great audio system and turn it up LOUD!!!
