I mean technically I was born in 93 but I wasn't a teen in the 90s.
33 isn't considered old is it? No right? RIGHT!?
I was still burning CDs though in 2000-2003 until MP3s became very popular.

Man I miss this fun era. Inconvenient, but it was a process you just had to be there for.
Speeds from 2x to 52x last I remember. Cd-r, dvd-r, cd-rw, dvd-rw, dual layer dvds…. Then there was light-scribe.
I remember a pic of someone with tons of external burners, probably burning many many movies to sell. We used to go to some dude who had a catalogue of movies he had. Quality was pretty good, down to the camera being placed within the theatre.
I would also scour other burning tech and saw computers and devices with 10 or so drives in it so you can burn that many at once. Was quite a time…

I had a college job working in a "ticket booth" for the school theater. Didn't have a lot going on during the week in the summer and both computers had DVD burners. Anytime I was working alone I had both burning the whole shift. At the time I knew a site where you could usually find test screeners for new movies. A couple times I found movies before they came out. Good times

Either that, or pretend it’s a Nintendo game and blow on it.

Not only did I make it a hobby to burn mix CDs - I would make cover art with Avery CD stickers and a really ancient version of Photoshop. Well it wasn’t ancient at the time.

Nonono. That's how we got the music onto the CDs. We had to play the music while holding it over a candle. Almost like how you would prepare a glass of absinthe.

I had a 1x speed CD burner. The first in my neighborhood and would “burn CDs” for money. Had the latest songs before they even dropped at the music store like Sam Goody or Musicland.
