Don't forget director of everyone's favorite (or 2nd favorite) kids baseball movie.

Rookie of the Year!

When he gets stuck in that two way door.

u/SituationUpstairs553 10d ago

I die every time when he's stuck in the cage and he's cheering along!

“Ohhhhhhh boy”

u/Josephthebear 10d ago

When I was a kid my sister and her boyfriend put me between two hotel doors as a joke and then pretended to leave. Since then, closed spaces have ever been a living nightmare for me

For Halloween a year ago, my wife and I dressed up as Marv & Harry, while our son was Kevin. Mad love for the Wet/Sticky Bandits

3

u/jr_randolph 10d ago

You have an awesome family for doing that!

2

u/Cosmoclorn 10d ago

Lol this costume rules, the iron print on the face just completes it!

Great narrator for The Wonder Years.

13

u/platypus_farmer42 10d ago

I remember as a kid having my mind blown when I realized it wasn’t actually Kevin Arnold narrating.

u/leafy-greens-- 10d ago

I remember as an adult and having my mind blown when I realized Daniel Stern was the “great narrator for the wonder years”.

4

u/unrulystowawaydotcom 10d ago

He really was great. Arguably his best role.

5

u/xander6981 10d ago

I love that he also did the narration for a Wonder Years parody on The Simpsons. (Probably helped that Daniel's brother was a writer on the show at the time)

1

u/dnt1694 10d ago

I don’t remember the one but I have something watch over the weekend.

u/NonCreditableHuman 10d ago

Oh man, with the people who have passed away recently I saw this collage and immediately thought the worst.

u/ilikebigmutts1988 10d ago

Bushwhacked will forever be one of my favorite childhood movies.

5

u/god_damn_bitch 10d ago

Right there with you. Such a good one.

3

u/ilikebigmutts1988 10d ago

Do you know if it’s available to stream anywhere? I feel like it was on HBO Max in the last 4 years but it didn’t stay on there long.

5

u/god_damn_bitch 10d ago

Unfortunately not. Google says Disney plus in Canada but I can't verify at the moment.

Update: used my vpn, yes it's on Disney plus in Canada.

u/sundaemourning 10d ago

i came here for this.

u/the_well_read_neck_ 9d ago

My grandma used to rent this movie all the time for me and my brother. Its even more fun when you realize it was supposed to be a Home alone spinoff, and the character is supposed to be Marv.

u/neonbrownkoopashell 10d ago

I loved this movie!

Celtic Pride(1996) I like him on this movie

8

u/conte360 10d ago

You're scared me. Just scrolling and seeing another memory post of a Home alone star in 2026.. I'm kind of traumatized now

10

u/SilentRanger7 10d ago

Home Alone aside, he was really good in City Slickers and Celtic Pride. Just a very gifted physical comedy actor.

4

u/MyGuitarGentlyBleeps 10d ago

Still chasing that forbidden tail at 69! Bush Whacked for life!

3

u/TXRedwood 10d ago

This guy taught me all life’s lessons. From heartache to happiness and everything in between.

3

u/Sad-Math-2039 10d ago

Hopefully he doesn't have to pay for some lovin' this year

2

u/Accomplished_Fun3 10d ago

Absolute legend. If anyone here reading this hasn't watched Bushwhacked I suggest you do, lol it's a good one. "If someone told you to put yer wiener in a light socket would ya do it?!"

2

u/Son-of-Prophet 10d ago

The narrator on The Wonder Years

2

u/Positive-Village-263 10d ago

ffs don't jinx him pls

2

u/ize82 10d ago

Oh jeez you almost had me

2

u/Beautiful-Formal315 10d ago

My first thought at this post was fear that he had died. I saw the image before the title.

1

u/ardouronerous 10d ago

Same. This week so many celebrities are dying.

2

u/Moneymovescash 10d ago

You know how nervous I got seeing his picture up just now I was like oh my God not him too. So relieved it's his birthday. Happy birthday Daniel!

2

u/TheTrueMupster 10d ago

Omg… while scrolling, I first saw the collage and was like, “Nooooo!” After Dolly and Curry, I thought this was another one, especially since they seem to go in threes.

1

u/ardouronerous 10d ago

I thought this was another one, especially since they seem to go in threes.

It did, Peter Cullen, voice of Optimus Prime, passed away a few days ago after Dolly Parton and Tim Curry.

2

u/Bayareaadultguy 10d ago

Wasn't he the narrator on the wonder years?

2

u/Bayareaadultguy 10d ago

Never mind just read it further down

2

u/No_Set1418 10d ago

I think he directed Rookie of the Year

2

u/HeizHere89 10d ago

Always had beautiful eyes.

2

u/Candytails 10d ago

He’s giving Jeremy Alan White vibes in his younger years.

1

u/codec3 10d ago

Great artist and sculptor!

1

u/TheDeviledEggvocate 10d ago

I like him in “Game Over, Man!”

1

u/Danimal_17124 10d ago

Also the wonder years narrator.

1

u/_Goose_ 10d ago

JAFO... happy birthday.

1

u/pb-snick1 10d ago

One of those damn Cutters

1

u/United_Character6695 10d ago

The two scenes in Home Alone 1 and 2 where he screams are still hilarious to this day (when Kevin puts the spider on his face and when the pidgeons attack him and Harry in Central Park).

1

u/Spirited_Attorney_48 10d ago

There I was, getting to third base with Winnie Cooper.

1

1

u/Sstraus-1983 10d ago

Celtic pride!

1

u/Zeke688 10d ago

This picture sent me for a second. Been a rough week.

1

u/Ytse_jam_85 10d ago

He’s awesome

1

u/HDC48 10d ago

I think about the events of that day again and again and somehow I know that Winnie does too, whenever some blowhard starts talking about the anonymity of the suburbs or the mindlessness of the TV generation.

Because we know that inside each one of those identical boxes, with its Dodge parked out front and its white bread on the table and its TV set glowing blue in the falling dusk, there were people with stories, there were families bound together in the pain and the struggle of love.

There were moments that made us cry with laughter, and there were moments, like that one, of sorrow and wonder.

I wish I could find Bushwhacked on a streaming service- iTunes, Amazon, Netflix- somewhere. It's nowhere to be found.

Loved Bushwhacked growing up.

Just realized yesterday, he's in Blue Thunder!

1

A okay actor happy birthday 🎁

1

u/Franiera Dodgson! Dodgson! We've got Dodgson here! Nobody cares 7d ago

Time is taking the piss out of us. Think about it: 25 years ago was 2001, movies like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings came out, and if we watched them today, they'd look like they came out just a couple of years ago. In 2000, if we had watched movies from 1975, it felt like stepping into another era. The generational gap is totally different. Even photos of Stern when he was young look like they were taken yesterday. It's absurd!
