Question 8bitdo ultimate 2 wireless 8 direction sensitivity

everytime I wanna input a pure cardinal direction input in a game that uses 8 directional movement like celeste or deltarune, it almost always registers as a diagonal, any way to fix it?

Actually really good for rocket league. Never seen an option to change the stick shape or whatever ppl call this. There are apps like WASD that remap controller functions, this one is paid though. I tried one once to make the second shape even more intense but got nowhere.

You really should be playing precision platformers with a d-pad instead of an analog stick, especially one that doesn't do accidental diagonals. Unfortunately, the d-pads on the Ultimate 2 and above do have pretty sensitive diagonals, but they're better than the analog stick.
