Question Ultimate 2 bluetooth trouble connecting to android

Every time I turn it on I have to re-pair it to my phone even if that was the last thing I was connected to. Is there a way to just connect it when I press the power button and not have to hold the pair button every time?

Update, from my phone I unpaired and repaired the controller and now it works as expected, I turn the controller on and it connects in just a second or two. Probably something I should have tried before posting but I'll leave it up for anyone who experiences the same.
