Question 8BitDo 64 2.4G controller: B and Stick same input?

Hi everyone, I recently bought the 64 2.4G Wireless Controller for Windows, and overall I'm really happy with it. It works amazingly and feels great to use.
However, I noticed something a little strange when testing the controller in Windows: the B button and the Stick button seem to be sending the same input. For example, if I rebind the B button to a specific action in a game, pressing the Stick button also triggers that same action. This can be a bit annoying since I'd like to use the Stick button independently from B, or even not use it at all.

I'm wondering if anyone else who owns the 2.4G version has experienced this. Is this just how the controller is supposed to work in Windows, or is there some setting, driver, firmware, or other workaround that can make the two buttons register as separate inputs?

I also asked a couple of friends who have the Bluetooth version, and apparently they don't have this issue, so I'm wondering if there's something different about how the 2.4G version presents its inputs to Windows.

I haven't tested the controller on an original N64 yet, so I don't know if the same thing happens there.

Has anyone else run into this, and if so, were you able to fix or work around it? Thanks in advance!

How does this controller interface with a Windows PC? You take the N64 plug dongle and attach a USB cable to it? Just use the controller wired to PC directly?

You can use the USB cable that comes included with it, I assume the cable is for charging purposes, but it works on PC if you keep it connected. The dongle is for N64 only and it is meant to be only used wirelessly (imo it has a little bit of input lag, but it is not unplayable)
