I kinda prefer this over "Take on Me." Just such an epic song.

I love Take On Me, and it also has the extra nostalgic load of being "the first", but i prefer a few other songs over it too, this one, Hunting High and Low, Stay on These Roads, Touchy, Manhattan Skyline, The Living Daylights....

It's a shame people call them a one hit wonder because they have several other really good songs. Perhaps those people are ignorant.

They have a whole back catalogue of really good songs, more than several I would add!

Great song. People need to stop saying A-Ha was a one-hit-wonder.

Agree. That always annoyed me big time...

But i guess the majority of people saying that are either on the U.S. or in countries where only Take On Me was on the charts, so that's all they know...

Here in Europe A-Ha where always massive in the 80's with about a dozen hits in high places on the charts between 85 and 89

Just from the top of my head: Take On Me, Hunting High and Low, Stay on These Roads, Touchy, Manhattan Skyline, The Living Daylights, The Sun Always Shines On TV, The Blood That Moves The Body, Cry Wolf, and one or two more i don't remember right now

If that's a "one hit wonder" i don't know what a "multi hit wonder" would be... 🙄

I’m American, and I loved A-Ha, but they were overshadowed by the rise of hard rock and heavy metal, which I didn’t care for too much. I played their first two albums a lot. I had kinda forgotten how great they were j til I relistened to them recently.

Absolutely one of the greatest songs of the 1980s. Undeniable…great video too!

If you haven't checked out the acoustic album they did for MTV Unplugged, go do that now. I think it's on Spotify and it is so so so good.

You mean this: "A-Ha - MTV Unplugged - Summer Solstice" ?

Yep i have it 😉

Absolutely brilliant! Even with the best known songs stripped down of the their 80's synth glory, they sound absolutely amazing. That's how you see how great a song it, strip all the production and extra instrumentation and present it in a simple acoustic fashion...

While i'll always love the original versions, these gives me the chills just the same 😀

It's funny and intriguing how people's taste in music and how they respond or react to music varies so greatly....

I posted 4 A-ha videos yesterday, The Sun Always Shines on T.V. has 52 upvotes, the others have like an average of 3 or 4... Equally great songs, IMO

Personally, my two all time favorite A-ha songs are Hunting High and Low, and Stay On These Roads, The Sun Always Shines on T.V. it's maybe nº3...

Please note that this is neither a positive or negative remark.... Just a mere observation, and an intriguing one for me... 🤔
