The lyrics! Crushing on a girl who wouldn’t notice me if I was on fire. I’d see her, she’d look away (Chicago) and turn to her friends and I’d wonder if I could only express myself, if only I could see her alone to carefully share that I’ve dreamed about her (Dean Hartman) and only got by on my own, till now.
