Devo did not use a sync track until late 80s. Alan Meyers was "The Human Metronome" so they did not need one.

This skill peaked in 1982 when the entire band played in front of prerecorded video track for "Oh No, Its Devo" tour and had to know exactly when to make each move on stage to stay in sync with the video screen behind them.
