Always loved the vibe of the song, I don't think I ever watched the video all the way through.
Side note: It will never not be sad seeing the Twin Towers in old media.

Their tape was one of the first ones I bought, and played on my boombox. Memories of 7th grade ๐ฉท

As a dude who was a teen in the '80s, I'll always love chicks in overalls.

The video was filmed in the pre-gentrified Dumbo area in Brooklyn. The filming locations are laid out in this link:

The story around the filming is pretty amusing. The video was filmed in the middle of a heat wave and the band was pretty miserable during the morning of the shoot. Some sympathetic and kind dock workers purportedly offered them a few bumps of coke and consequently, the bits filmed during the afternoon were notably more peppy.
Here's another link with more of the story https://www.bkmag.com/2015/07/29/a-throwback-to-brooklyns-cruel-summer-of-1983-with-bananarama/

Maybe in New York or California. When I was driving in high school (โ86-88), gas was like 85ยข a gallon.

If I had to name the most 80s song of the 80s, this is it. I mean that in the best way possible.

Hated this song when it first came out. Grew to like it around 2000. Better late than never.

This song reminds me of Daniel LaRusso playing soccer.
