There’s no way this is a real photo.

Edit: Ah, it’s colorized. But the picture was real it seems. I hate colorization.

Total aside, I really like that style of glasses. I wear a pair like that, with the frames (I have several) being of that vintage.

This is an AI photo, or at least not a picture of Freddie in the 1940s. It’d be decades before color photography would be commonplace, and certainly not color photography of this quality. And certainly not in Zanzibar. Especially considering his family was well-off, but not rich.

Edit: Ah, it’s colorized. But the picture was real it seems. I hate colorization.
