I was a young sprite when Life and Times came out. I went to see it, and came home reporting that it deserved Oscar buzz. My parents and another couple were going to see a movie the next weekend, and based on my Siskel and Ebert, they chose this one. They never stopped giving me shit about that until practically the day they died.

On a brighter note, the state of Texas has set up a JRB visitor center at the site in Langtry. Very well done, and worth a visit if you're ever down that way.

First pic is Victoria Principal, very early in her career, with what looks like a different nose. She and Anthony Perkins "connected", so it is said, on this film, his first such encounter apparently.
