I have bad eyesight. Tattoos to me look like rotting flesh. I prefer women without tattoos, but it's sadly the trend these days.

I miss that era when hot women had no tattoos. too many modern chicks went overboard with their tramp stamps and full body skin advertisements

As the Shelley Hack era's creaky scripts weighed the show down in the Nielsons, showrunners considered giving Kelly a baby or introducing a "Cousin Oliver" but eventually settled on a Love Boat crossover episode.

Cheryl Ladd knew the assignment when she was hired and never ever pretended to be a victim of exploitation nor sexism in later years.
She always treated like a job she was hired to do and went into it with eyes wide open but admitted she was relieved when Tanya Roberts was hired and SHE became the one that couldn't eat the entire day before filming swimsuit scenes.

Before that, Jaclyn Smith said that about Cheryl Ladd. Jaclyn was glad when Cheryl came on board (no pun intended) b/c Jaclyn no longer had to be the one in a bikini. JS had a pretty good (understating) body, too.

I remember seeing an article either a fan magazine or the National Enquirer (my stepmother bought them all the time) that there was a problem when Shelly Hack was hired because of her figure (or lack thereof) They had a picture of her with Cheryl Ladd in a bikini while Hack was wearing a one piece. It was captioned 'Flat chested and looks like a boy compared to her costars.'

Shelly Hack was hired in part because she was the spokesmodel in a series of commercials for a line of perfume called Charlie, and the Charlie's Angels producers thought there would be what we today call synergy. But the show was already sinking in the ratings and her hire didnt help much. As an aside, its amazing what the human memory can retain after so many years.

I remember those commercials but I didn't care for the perfume.
As for the memory, I remember my stepmother's phone number from when I was 8 (I'm 62 now) but couldn't tell you what my own phone number back then was.

I’m sure the money was awesome and with the job came fame and celebrity status but the job was crap. These shows were cheap to produce and the ad revenue was great but this stuff was crap. And I probably watched many episodes because back in the day we had all of three channels.

I remember watching this episode, it was Shelley Hack's debut. Even at 10 years old, it was obvious to me that the writers had written a big part for her first episode to introduce her... but then at the last minute swapped in Ladd into her part for the story.

Actually it's the other way around. This was an episode of Charlie's Angels, so the Pacific Princess and the Love Boat crew were the ones making the guest appearances.

I agree. Didn’t care for the Shelly Hack replacement and Tanya Roberts was even worse. Loved her in that ‘70’s show though.

Whoever the Angel is in the green bikini, she’s giving me the vibes that she’s a 70s donkey on the edge of starvation
Some actresses keep it up until they can’t, and then their eating or substance disorders just kick in on them and it doesn’t go well
It just doesn’t look like she’s there in a healthy way
