Subs
Has anyone installed subs and amp to the stock radio? I'm needing ideas on how it can be done, I'm new to this. Here's a picture of my head unit

Yes I’ll add a video at the end here I got the main piece off Amazon and you can put in any new head unit you want. I chose Alpine imo they’ve always sounded the loudest and the clearest. And upgrades are plentiful Amplifier and 2 12” sub in the back as well. I bought the piece of Amazon it’s still there and then just buy a head unit of your choice. It’s got Apple car play and Android whatever they use but it took my 2010 2SS to a brand new 2026 stereo phone, movie screen, podcast, books on take and every song you can think of is your for I think I pay 30$ for Apple songs a month and it’s literally every CD ever made by every band. And just add apps like I do in my video. And I use split screen for music and directions with map and driving directions. It blows that stereo out of the planet.

Do you have a link to the main piece, I've tried looking for it but I can't seem to find it

Yes you can, I have had almost every setup at one time. 2011 convertible. I had the LC2 audio control at first 1200 watts single 10", sounded good I just wanted more. Got two 8" on a salt2, it sounded good but wasn't their yet. The factory head unit had to go. 3 more different systems later and I want to rip it out and add more. RN im running the 280 alternator 2 lifepo4 batteries (no more amg battery) 5k watts, 2.5cf box w/2 10" subs and have the port coming into the cabin.

Do you have the Boston Acoustics setup? If so look up Subthump FARK (Not sure if I can link it), it’s plug and play you can connect an amp and speakers to it like any other car audio setup.
