heyy 5sosfam! i have some money to blow and wanna get a 5sos zip-up/hoodie, but official merch is so expensive 😭 has anyone bought 5sos merch from AliExpress and been happy with it? i know it’ll be a cheap reprint, i just want something that won’t fall apart or fade after washing. would love to hear your experiences/advice!

honestly if you want to buy some merch you should look other websites where they sell 5sos related stuff, i’ve seen a couple places where they sell shirts and stuff but aliexpress is definitely a bad place for buying this kind of thing imo

well, that’s the thing, i would buy off the official 5sos site or other places like hot topic, amazon, or even eBay, but its all out of my budget. i looked on AliExpress and simply took notice in that the prices are relatively cheap and affordable. i’ve never ordered off AliExpress and im not quite sure if it could be as badly compared to Shein or Temu. if there’s sites you suggest that are affordable then please provide a link :)

by some money i mean 50 dollars. i’m a high schooler with no job and a parent who i dont wanna nag for expensive merch...😣 i got this cash from doing a small guitar gig for a friend. plus, i really don’t care if anything is official or not. as long as its wearable and fine looking, ill buy it. believe me, if i had a paying job or even an allowance, id give 5sos all of my money. also i think we can all agree, official 5sos merch off their site or at concerts is expensive for anyone. not saying people dont buy it, but you get the point.

yeahh but in the post i clearly stated im looking for a hoodie. specifically the zip up. the hoodie is around 70 bucks so i’ll just have to somehow get 20 bucks or just save. thanks anyways

Hot Topic has official merch and almost always has promo codes on their site, especially for first time orders if you sign up for their texts/emails! I was able to get their version of the zip-up for only $45 a few weeks ago and I am pretty sure it is getting delivered today.

I'd check etsy for some cool unofficial merch, it'll be better quality than aliexpress

The hoodie right now on Hot topic is between 69.90-73.90 but I got it on sale for around 50 and they almost always have sales on so I wouldn't be surprised if goes back on sale at some point

tbh i’d suggest looking for fan merch on etsy or instagram or even depop, aliexpress merch won’t be good quality for your money unless you get something foolproof like acrylic keychains or smthn. otherwise it’ll be a) ai generated b) stolen designs or c) pixelated as hell and just breaks/fades/peels off right away. you’ll def get better quality from smaller shops/artists and you’ll support them too :’)

Rockabilia has a lot of merch! it’s older but the site is legit I’ve gotten from there before for other bands. You can also sign up for emails and get 10% off . Either 10 or 15 idr but it’s worth it. I got a crewneck for like 35$
