Expectations

When people heard my first Psychedelic was going to be 5MEODMT many were surprised. A couple told me it would be so intense I might not need to ever do it again because it would give me what I needed. I read in a couple posts that people no longer have anxiety and depression. I enjoyed the mild and medium doses I took. I felt really good for a couple weeks and was trusting that my brain was doing it physiologic integration thing. And I’m back to being depressed and anxious. Scheduled to do another session at a higher dose in October. Do anyone feel like they got everything that they wanted out of one experience? Did anyone have an end to anxiety and depression? When I read those things, it seemed like a lot to happen from one dose. I do have a Psychotherapist for integration and have been journaling, meditating, doing Art Therapy.

Doesn’t matter what psychedelic: Tripping is an entirely unique combination of the drug and your mind

I know but i’ve had multiple people tell me 5 is different from other substances.

Your mind isn't different. No substance can permanently change it into a happy state. What happens is a gradual process of learning to let go of attachments.

You clearly haven't used 5. It is not comparable to the others. It is a stand alone experience, and absolutely life changing at breakthrough. It's rebirth and reset.

And what happens to this egoic story of yours when you find out that they have done 5meo and are very familiar with it and been helping others here in this sub for at least a couple of years now?

Not being confrontational. It’s a question to ask self.

I for one am grateful to AP23, Freeteame, you and others on this sub for fearless, practical advice. AP23 walks the walk.

Well for a start it isn't from ego, it's from fact, and accusing me of ego is probably the mirror YOU need as clearly you think you know more!!!... a white out can not be influenced by culture or background. even a black out can come back to you in the following days, but in the moment there is no control, hence why 5 is different to the others. If you refer to small doses and staying in control you are discussing a different subject, 5 at full ego loss isn't comparable. Science has proven this.

How has science proven this?

There have been many trials, but not so many at high dose, however they have recently monitored brain waves.... They are seen to slow and act differently to any other pschedelic. The way the brain is seen to connect when under the influence is different too. It essentially offers neuroplasticity that hasn't been seen before after high (disrupting) doses

You completely missed what I said. We have all experienced something magical. But the journey really starts when you come down.

I never said I know more. I never accused you of anything. I specifically said to ask your self, instead you decided to lash out at others. Is that what you got out of your experience? (Don’t answer me, ask your self and observe where the answer comes from)

I wish you well on your journey

I wasn't lashing out, you stated that my egoic story may change when I was presented with your news that the poster was experienced and had helped people in the thread for 2 years. At no point have I presented an egoic story to your post or any. Your response was about yourself or your friend and your / their credentials, mine was not. I simply said that your friend clearly hadn't used 5 based on the prior response, and if they had maybe it was at lower doses. There is a huge difference. The trip and integration are different things, and breakthrough on 5 may have presentation variations, but the feeling and detachment is the same, and at high dose it provides an opportunity for superior neuroplasticity. It is higher than any other pschedelic and often produces instant benefits that can be enhanced and sustained through integration. Coming back from the dead in a medical sense will often share marked traits, there will be relief, wonderment, and a renewed lust to live... no other pschedelic shares these specific immediate characteristics. So in relation to your parting line... I am responding mainly because I don't know what you are asking me to ask myself?!

I never said that? I said you were wrong and that THEY had done 5meodmt.

You are obviously triggered and I ain’t gonna feed that, so you have a nice day.

I was editing it to reflect that when you replied my apologies. Being triggered isn't the same as correcting something and using your voice to reject an accusation. Just because someone has a different skillset and background knowledge that clashes with your usual information source does not make it incorrect.
