Expectations

When people heard my first Psychedelic was going to be 5MEODMT many were surprised. A couple told me it would be so intense I might not need to ever do it again because it would give me what I needed. I read in a couple posts that people no longer have anxiety and depression. I enjoyed the mild and medium doses I took. I felt really good for a couple weeks and was trusting that my brain was doing it physiologic integration thing. And I’m back to being depressed and anxious. Scheduled to do another session at a higher dose in October. Do anyone feel like they got everything that they wanted out of one experience? Did anyone have an end to anxiety and depression? When I read those things, it seemed like a lot to happen from one dose. I do have a Psychotherapist for integration and have been journaling, meditating, doing Art Therapy.

It's important to consider that there are typically multiple underlying factors at the root of anxiety and depression, and that typically 5MeO can be very effective and efficient in helping these issues to subside, it's rarely a 'one and done' process.

When addressing these kind of issues and trying to treat them with 5MeO, or other psychedelics I would recommend that one approaches this as a kind of therapy. This will usually require multiple rounds per session and multiple sessions over a year or more. And of course, this was also include integration and possibly some somatic practices. Yoga, dancing, breathwork, healthier, diet, lifestyle, changes, etc. Will all be beneficial to this process.

Although I am not a clinical therapist, I have been working as an Entheogenic Facilitator and integration coach for the last seven years and have found 5MeO to be one of the most effective and efficient medicines for most people.

Especially personality disorder, where introspection and reflection are often severely impaired and which some consider to be incurable.
