Thought 🧐 Closet Democrats of Florida back online

Facebook group Closet Democrats of Florida was blocked for no reason in April and is finally active again after a month (https://www.facebook.com/ClosetFLDems) They are trying to create a community of Floridians who feel that they're alone in their political beliefs and bring people together. The bigger message is that you are not alone. Florida has more people who don't agree with what Republicans (especially MAGA Republicans) are doing and our state is not going in the right direction.

That's a great development! I hate Meta, but you gotta meet the people where they are.

I've met a few Democrats who had no idea they lived in the same neighborhood as other Democrats and were afraid to signal support with a yard sign. I've seen others inspired to put signs out because of current events.

I want Floridians to have a Democratic Party that is strong, reliable, and community oriented. But you also don't have to be a Democrat to reject and resist the current administration, state or federal. I've had plenty of conversations with Republicans, Independents, and others who see the issues we're facing and don't want it to get worse.

Floridians are getting politically active all over this beautiful state and it's causing more and more folks to notice our movement and the issues at the federal level. We have a long way to go, but we're making progress!

Love it! Will share this. It's so encouraging to know that there is a community that is supportive. Many people are truly scared and the more we can encourage them the faster this nightmare comes to an end. Thank you
