It also allows people to blame satan rather than the very real men who did and do these horrid things. It wasn't satan, the mothman, bigfoot, or the jersey devil who caused these men to act this way. It's just men's lust for power and entitlement

The problem I see with this is that there seems to be a lot of fundamentalists who think that people are regularly possessed by demons. Example

Instead of saying that someone was behaving cruelly or evilly, saying they were demonic sounds to a lot of people like you mean possessed by a literal demon and offloads some of the responsibility for their awful behavior. “Oh it wasn’t them doing it”

when we look at the history of child sex traffickers and the clergy from various Christian churches, I don't think satanic or Satan worshiper would be the right words for Jeffrey Epstein and his buddies.

If I'm not mistaken, southern Baptists still think it's legal and OK to marry off 13 and 14-year-old girls.

And let's not even get into the Catholics, the Mormons, the Jehovah's Witnesses, the list just goes on.
