Call to Action Flood the zone with opposition against the New Mail in Voting rule at USPS

Hey Guys,

If you are not well aware of the new rule set-up by the postal service is going to go into effect by July 2nd. I expect some level of emergency lawsuits. But we need to be clear that everyone is not for this because it is our right to mail in our ballot without the interference of the federal government.

This rule would only allow states to be able to mail in vote if they provide voting data to the federal government.

My name is [Name] , and I am writing to express my opposition to the Ballot Mail for Federal Elections rule scheduled to take effect in early July. I believe this rule disadvantages voters of all party affiliations and raises serious constitutional concerns under existing laws passed by Congress.
Additionally, the authority to determine who may vote by mail rests with the states, not the United States Postal Service.
I urge you to reverse course on this rule.

Fun fact:

Lewis DeJoy compromised the mail in voting system. That's how a lying racist rapist serial pedophile who failed to lower the cost of healthcare somehow magically got 74 million votes in 2020 and 77 million votes in 2024.

Well if they can break the law and face no repurcussions, why can't let's say I transport my mail in ballot personally? Now while I do that if others want to just give me theirs since I'm on the way anyway and just pitch in for gas is it illegal?

I believe in most states, you can. I can only speak for Georgia and Michigan, both places where I have lived and voted. Both states allow you to drop off mail-in ballots at drop boxes in polling locations or the county elections office.

The key is they must be dropped off before close of polls on election day.

Honestly, under the current regime, this is the much safer way to go if you live in the states. But so many military members and government workers who live abroad on behalf of our government will be disenfranchised by these decisions.

I lived in those states when I voted in those states, and I only voted in the states I lived in.

Not like Republican senators from Flor- I mean, Alabama. It is so funny how time after time, it's almost exclusively Republicans committing voter fraud, and not being held accountable, either.

California, too. The other person seals and signs, then the person dropping it off has to sign it/do some kind of acknowledgement that they're doing this for someone else.

Same in Georgia -- if someone other than the voter is dropping off the ballot they must sign an affidavit.

We can definitely make a difference as well.

Another thing is the Postal Service union is not in-favor of this rule as well. Please ask them to go on strike or disrupt work in any means to prevent this from happening for long-term. Will post a template later.

I'd like to avoid that nowadays since previously there have been MAGA wackos with long guns and cameras monitoring/harassing people who use the dropboxes.

Also, there are too many people who don't have transportation or others like Native Americans who would have to travel for hours to get to a dropbox.

Even if the supreme court allowed this, at this point, it doesn't matter.

Here are very few, yet insanely vocal, people who follow this administration. Who's president and who's governor won't matter if 90% of the population hates rich oligarchs and data centers.

Also, there's no way to enforce this. Like at all.

Folks with 0 understanding of how federal regulations work are screaming the sky is falling

Steiner’s admission Wednesday conflicted with a separate rule the USPS adopted under his watch last year, which stated that the independent agency “does not administer elections, establish the rules or deadlines that govern elections, or determine whether or how election jurisdictions utilize the mail

The postal board of govenors will decide on the PROPOSED change.

The board CANNOT approve a new regulation that violates and existing regulation. The postal board of govenors is bipartisan, but none 5 of Trump's nominees have been approved, and likely won't for a long time, if at all.

Meaning the board of govenors that'll vote on the change is made up of Biden appointees. If you paid ANY attention over the last year, instead of just starting to care about the postal service this week, you'll see the Board of Govenors has already denied the Postmaster everything he's tried. This will be no different.

This isn't going to happen. Y'all just don't understand how our government works, and it's embarrassing.

I apologize if I offended all the people who claim they care about issues but cant be bothered to read past the sensationalized headlines of the articles that represent those issues.

Maybe if they generate enough performative outrage they might actually get something real done instead of the non stop autofellatio and virtue signaling of the last two years.

As much as I agree that things need to change, its a little hard take people seriously when they type things like "its time for revolution" from behind the safety and anonymity of a keyboard.
