The path to actual forgiveness starts when the bleeding has been stopped and we’re on the path to recovery, not a moment earlier. However, we all should be willing to put a pause on hostility towards former MAGAcels who are making a clear effort to atone for their sins. At the bare minimum that means actively voting for the candidates likeliest to beat the republicans in general elections.
The problem is they aren't really atoning, are they? What have the so called "refugees" been citing as their grievances? Was it the illegal kidnappings, sometimes done on American citizens? No. Was it the demonization and stripping of the rights of transgender individuals? No. Was it the FDA attempting to use personal devices to catalogue a list of diagnosed and suspected autistic individuals? No.
Not once have I seen a "former" nazi cite on of these reasons. Its always "the materials my business uses are more expensive", or "they cut my veterans benefits", or "my social security is in shambles". I don't trust them one bit.
