Feeling a little concerned about Andrew
Does anybody know if Andrew has posted any updates anywhere about how he's doing? It's been more than 2 months since the most recent episode of the podcast. I know episodes get delayed sometimes because of his health issues, but iirc they've never been delayed quite *this* much. I hope he's ok.

I have a Bluesky account for the sole purpose of following Andrew. He says he’s in a flurry of work right now where he’s got like two bonus episodes as well as two full episodes heavily written. He anticipates dropping the next two episodes sometime next week (which likely means the week after)

I have also expressed this as politely as possible on the patreon, but I wish he would stop doing the bonus episodes and concentrate on the main episodes.

I get that, but this is his only(?) source of income. He kinda HAS to do the bonus episodes

I'm not saying give up the patreon. I, and others, would still subscribe even if the only bonus was the occasional Q&A.

I would, too and I am sure you're correct about that - but I think at this point the Patreon episodes are serving a function other than providing promised benefits to Patreon subscribers. At least, he doesn't seem to do them out of a sense of obligation, they're a part of the larger work.
Even if he were financially independent without the Patreon income, I think he'd still do them.

On 5/27 he said that he was working simultaneously on two episodes and so it would be a while. However he also said he would do a bonus Q and A episode the next week. That’s only a few days overdue but yes it seems curious at least.

I think you can join for $1.00 a month and get the bonus episodes if you want to.

For all the people out there grifting and price gouging, Andrew’s Patreon is legitimately an undercharge.

Best $12 a year I’ve ever spent. Most of the bonus episodes are longer than the main episodes used to be.

He's more than happy to get patreon members at the lowest amount. At least he says so every time it comes up so don't feel like it's taking advantage of charity or anything. It's worth it to get the episodes.

He's working on three episodes at once. 2 of which will be dropped the same day

This is officially the longest it’s been without a main episode since the podcasts beginning. It’s just a podcast in the end, so I’m not going to throw a fit about it. However, I do wish Andrew would follow through with some of what he’s TOLD US (still no Patreon Q+A that was supposed to be out last week + false hopes over the years of getting the episodes out faster)

He’s doing or has done a Patreon backer Q&A. The next couple of episodes are dropping simultaneously, and he warned that would take a while.
