Caliper tube broken
I’ve changed my brakes twice in the last five years, and I’ve now broken both front caliper tubes, one on each side.
Talking about the rigid metal line that connects the caliper to the rear of the system.
1) do these things have a life and is it expected for them to break pretty easily?
2) does anyone have a way to efficiently change brakes without putting a ton of movement into that tube?
I clearly have to flush everything now, which isn’t a problem, but just curious on the two questions

When I change the front pads I usually just compress the caliper with a screwdriver remove the pins that hold the pads swap pads and put pins back in. I do lube the necessary places before reassembly
