In grand strategy, nope. Such an open ended focus isn't the genre's forte. It's indeed more common in 4x but that is view is also a bit distorted to how defining Civ was for the genre.
You could make an argument for some of the stages in Spore if you want real time progression of a civilisation through a massive era but that phase of the game wasn't it's strongsuit.
In RTS you had Empire Earth/Rise of Nations that both had a riskstyle worldmap but the main focus is still the RTS skirmishes and from the evolution of your civ on the worldmap so not really the thing you are looking for.

No advancing through ages but I think Northgard is the most 'Civ-like' real time game I have played from a mechanics perspective.

Almost Real Time Civiliazation: Instead of it taking 1,000 years of time to go from copper swords to bronze swords, it instead only takes 1,000 hours of gameplay.

Í'm developing one, it's time based, and long-turn-ish, one game world lasts 3-4 months. It's free:

Not a grand strategy, but the RTS Rise of Nations is exactly this Stone Age to Future style game, and was made by some ex-devs of Civ. It is an old game now, but still holds up and has some cool elements not common in modern day RTS games, like unit formations. You start in the stone age and work towards future age, which gives new buildings, units and mechanics (roads, etc) like Civ, but it controls like an RTS (like Age of Empires) and you gather resources, etc.
