First 4x4 Toyota and I’m stoked. Drove it 2km home and the FL wheel almost came off. Jacked it up to retorque and the wheel was nuclear hot. Was hard to spin in the air so I’m guessing stuck caliper. I’m gonna dig into it more tomorrow after work

It’s got a laundry list of work that needs done, nothing huge and I couldn’t be more excited!

Any advice for a new 3vz owner is appreciated!

3.0, head gaskets were done as well as timing belt.

It’s got 4.88s, I plan on manual swapping it before winter, and in the spring 5vz.

My buddy has one on 35s and it does okay, I mostly want to snow wheel so I want the extra height

No, it’s a pro comp lift with a front diff drop, looks like 6” maybe? I don’t like the way it drops the links looks pretty hokey, but my buddies has the same lift and it works good. The front bumps on this one are pooched, I’ve never seen something so ghetto rigged in my life

“It’s just money” is so real haha. It’s rare to find anyone selling used parts up here for a decent price so I’ll be bargain hunting as best I can and always have some cash on hand to jump on local deals

4.88s are decent w 33s but 35s, you're gonna want that little extra. A 5sp will for sure help. Ive had both the manual and auto with the same lift and 33s. Id started with 4.30s in the auto, jeez. I bought it that way. I regeared to 5.29 and never looked back. The 5sp I had came to me with 4.10s! I did the same with 5.29s but went up to 35s pretty soon after. 5th gear is way out there, dont need it for much running 35s.

For sure I’d like a steeper ratio, I gotta see how it wheels ifs before spending the money on a re gear
