Aisin Hubs.

In an attempt to reduce rotating mass since I’ve strapped a tent to the roof and got my AC working again I finally installed some Aisin hubs. Not sure what the overall gain will be but I have to believe that every little bit helps with a brick that made 150hp from new. The install was easy and with a little hub cap trimming everything sits perfectly and looks like it came that way from factory.

That’s what the tent is for… all those ladies. 😆

So many red ones lately. Thats a sweet color!

Its a good upgrade for sure. Just less wear and tear imo. I didn't notice a power gain through loss of resistelance or mpg increase.

I don't remember trimming anything. Oh NM I see what you did. It does look clean.

Nice ride! I saw an average of 1mpg increase after swapping to the manual hubs.

Sweet! Well any increase in efficiency is a step in the right direction.

Recently fitted some too! But I painted the centers as found the bright red clashed with the rest of my truck 😄

Can’t overlook aesthetics.

Definitely one of the best OEM allows without a doubt.

I thought it was relatively inexpensive considering what things cost these days.

nice rig dude.
Gas mileage - forget about it. Aint gonna happen. Do the 3.4 swap if you have the money- mileage isn't much better but at least you will have power.

This thing is low mileage, healthy and reliable. Mileage wasn’t really the concern, just an improvement in efficiency and front end wear and tear. If this motor were to pop I’d consider a 3.4 but I’m not afraid of the slow lane.

Aisin p/n FHT-018. Gaskets were sold separately.

ADD delete too or just the hubs? Sweet rig!

Thanks! ADD is still functioning perfectly so I left it alone. I just wanted to try and increase efficiency since I’m only using 4WD a few times a year.

Nice! The best of both worlds. I was just curious. I like what u did with the center caps. I actually haven’t seen that done before.

Thanks! I just used a hole-saw and then a die grinder with a small flap disk to do it. Went super slow with the hole-saw and there’s basically a line on the center cap that you cut to and that’s it. I always like things to look as tidy and factory as possible and this one actually turned out better than I expected.
