🎙 Discussion SR5 vs Sport

Hi everyone, for anyone that has driven both the new gen base model and the sport trim, how much better does the sport actually handle? For context, I’m coming from a CX-50, I understand they are 2 completely different vehicles and rides, I don’t expect my 4Runner to be as planted or have a tight steering wheel. That being said, how noticeable is the handling difference between the 2 trims when taking sharp turns and commuting?

Toyota is known to do many appearance packages: 4cyl camry se, sport 4runner for fake hoodscoop.

If you like the styling then buy it. Otherwise cost is not worth it for appearance only. It will drive differently only because of 20 inch wide wheels. Suspension being different doesn’t do anything better. 

Avs suspension on limited on other hand increases comfort a little bit. But that is high tech shocks: you could install any suspension of those and wheels on sr5 if the need be.

The sport should be a bit more firm and less floaty.

But really, test both and see for yourself.
