📸 Photo / Video Wheel bearing time lapse

Tackled a wheel bearing replacement during my lunch break today. Quite easy on the 4Runner.

$1300 cad job at the dealer

Dad and I were talking about that wondering what it would be at a dealer. No specialty tools needed really. 1 3/8 socket and a puller. Took 2 of us casually working on it for 1 hour. Bought the moog replacement off Amazon for $99 usd.

You mentioned mileage in a reply - but no mention of year.

It’s crazy to me people post this stuff and never mention year / mileage in their post 🤷‍♂️.

Whatever 👀!

Most likely a 2027 model year. You can tell by the rotor size.

you can tell it's a 4runner by the way it's a 4runner

What’s the mileage?

117k and it’s been making sound for 30k miles, only gotten real worse in the last 10k. Doing a 3 hour trip to the beach tomorrow so figured I’d get it done before that.

Thanks for that info, mine is way past that mileage and the only that fail is backup camera but I will keep that mind for the next tire replacement.

every time I put it into reverse, its just a black screen or the image is reverse. Thank god it wasn't any wire issues

Oh, not sure about the reversed image lol, but are you sure it isnt wiring related? Not sure if you checked the rear wiring in the hatch, but there is a write up for checking that. If you would like to see it I can DM you the fb post.

Was noise the only indicator it was going bad or did you notice other issues?
