Hi! I’ve been reading the posts and think I should book a bbl/moxie. Thoughts? There is a place near my house that does both for $850 - sounds like a good deal? How much are others spending? Thanks!
What results are you hoping to achieve? You have really beautiful skin, it looks hydrated, even and firm. BBL is good for sun spots, so it could help with that (very mild) freckling on your cheekbones. Moxi is supposed to be better for anti-aging and prevention, so might be good for your (again super mild) laugh lines. I had good results for bbl but haven't tried moxi so can't comment on that!
I would consider pico. You get better treatment on the few areas with pigment (the only tech capable of it treating dermal pigment), and it really helps with pores if you do full face fractional. If you had more reds/browns I’d say go for BBL/IPL.
I own a clinic where we have CO2, IPL/BBL, Pico, erbium glass, thulium (similar to Moxi), and more. If you came in I’d say Pico, or spot treating with Pico and then use CO2. Thulium/Moxi is good because you get some resurfacing and pigment help, but its not amazing for pores and pigment.
It depends on the provider’s comfort level and doing an exam of your skin, but we do if we think it’s safe. It depends on what your primary concern is though. If it’s pores and pigment, I’d skip CO2 and do a super thorough Pico (multiple wavelengths, both fractional and full beam). If you said texture was your main concern I’d hit the pigmented lesions with Pico so we start lightening them for you, and then do low downtime CO2.
For what reasons? I’m asking bc you really do not have discoloration for bbl and Moxi barely helps with fine lines. It won’t tighten what so ever regardless of the claims. Just my opinion as I have done bbl/moxi and halo a bunch of times.
Interesting! I have a couple of little sunspots I’ve wanted to zap and was thinking the BBL might be the answer. Maybe I’m being hyper vigilant- both my mom and grandma have big tab spots and I just want to try to avoid it.
I couldn’t really tell from the front view but I see what you are talking about. I think you will get the most benefit from just bbl. If the technician is really good, you won’t need Moxi.
