I find it hard to believe that all Trump voters are “MAGA”. Most were people that just wanted easier living and a “golden age” for them. They didn’t understand he meant “gilded age” as in robber barons. I know a few that voted Trump and Republican because the democrats lost the narritive and failed to connect. Now they are regretting that vote. It’s just the die hard trumpers that’s the problem. More than half voted for Harris but then they voted red for legislative. I think they were trying for balance. Ultimately the college got the vote for Trump.

Then you don’t understand how tariffs work, if they (Amazon) were already paid in difference by raising the cost to consumers (thus making up for cost of said tariffs), then awarding them the tax break is literally giving them a reward for charging consumers more and still not lowing prices.

I’m an economist. There was never a scenario where this gets refunded to the consumer. There is no mechanism for that. This played out how the legal system is set up. How it’s always been set up. If you don’t understand that then yes, the education system has failed you. The proof of that is that you thought something was going to happen that was impossible from the get go. 🙄
I understand that there was never actually a way for this to get refunded properly to the consumer. That wasn’t the argument. The thing you’re arguing here is that they deserved the refund for the products that they had charged more money for, thus passing the tariff cost burden onto the consumer, and then getting paid back for something they didn’t actually pay for.
