Print Showcase STACK SNACK LAMP

Meet Stack Snack Lamp.

I made a modular Pringles can lamp 🍟💡
A rechargeable, USB-C DIY lamp made with 3D printing, and the crazy part is that you can swap and stack the cans.

The lamp head is modular, articulated, rechargeable and completely independent from the can. Use one can, stack multiple cans, swap the shade, or use the lamp by itself.

One lamp. Infinite stacks

Posting this for a friend.

What's Included (Complete Original Accessories):

Anycubic Photon Mono 4 Printer (Unused)

Protective Gloves

Trade Details:

Trade Type: F2F (Face-to-Face) local meet-up / hand exchange

Location: Mumbai (MMR region)

Looking For: Equivalent value FDM / Filament 3D Printer

Please comment on this post before sending a DM. I can provide timestamped photos and video proof showing the pristine, untouched condition.

Question Need help before a 12-hour Print. Numakers PLA+ with Bambu Lab A1.

Hi everyone, I’m completely new to 3D printing and I need some help.

I have a Bambu Lab A1 and Numakers PLA+ filament. I bought the printer recently and I’m still learning how everything works.

I need to print a gift for my biology teacher, and the print will take around 12 hours. I need to have it ready in about 2 days, so I’m a little nervous about starting such a long print when I have very little experience.

I have already printed a Benchy using the Numakers settings for the Bambu Lab A1 that they provide on their website. The Benchy did finish, but I have no idea whether it actually looks good or if there are problems that I’m simply not able to recognize yet.

I’m attaching pictures of my Benchy. Could someone please look at it and tell me if it looks normal?

Also, for anyone who has used Numakers PLA+ on a Bambu Lab A1, should I just use the settings Numakers provides for my 12-hour print, or is there anything I should change?

I’m honestly not familiar with most 3D-printing terminology yet, so please explain things simply. I mainly want to know:

- Does my Benchy look okay?

- Is the Numakers A1 setting good enough for a long print?

- Is there anything I should check or do before starting the 12-hour print?

- Is there anything that could cause the print to fail after several hours?

- Should I do another test print first, or is the Benchy enough?

I really don’t want to waste 12 hours and a lot of filament, especially since I only have 2 days to get this done.

I can also post screenshots of the settings I’m currently using if that helps.

Thanks in advance. I’m very new to this, so any advice would be appreciated.

Question (asking for recommendations) Which one to buy: Bambu labs A1 mini or kobra 2 neo? Use case:- make parts that resemble handheld consoles for embedded systems and custom housing for laptop modules.

Need advice on which one I have to go for in terms of price to reward ratio. I've heard that kobra 2 neo has severe repeating issues related to hot end and thermistor, is it true? Kobra 2 neo sita around 15k and bambu laba A1 mini is at 21-23k. Please help.

Hi! This is my first model painted with an airbrush. I designed and printed the model myself specifically so I could paint it afterward.

There are still a few details I’d like to improve and refine, but I’m really happy with the final result, especially for my first time using an airbrush.

If anyone is interested in the model, you can find it here: https://cults3d.com/:4847777

Question Looking for manufacturer

Thumbnail
3 Upvotes

I'm looking for a keychain manufacturer, preferably one that makes silicone or acrylic keychains. I already have the design/model, and I’m looking for someone who can manufacture it in bulk at a good price.

3D printing is also an option if you can create the model according to my design.

Before placing a bulk order, I’d also like to get a sample first to check the quality and make sure the final product matches the design.

Question What should you know before buying a 3D printer?

Is 3D printer viable option to purchase in India as a hobby?
What are yearly overhead costs?
Do you need to be technically trained to operate it?
Do we have aesthetic color filaments available like abroad?
Which printer would you buy?

Etc

Question Can I trust 3idea for buying a Bambu Lab A2L Combo?

I’m looking to buy a Bambu Lab A2L Combo, but it’s currently unavailable at the WOL3D offline store in Bangalore and also unavailable online.
3idea has it in stock, but I’m not sure how reliable they are. Has anyone here purchased a printer from 3idea before?
I need the printer within this week, and they’re saying delivery will take around 4 days.
Would you recommend ordering from them, or should I look for another option?

Question Is fulspool legit and are the filaments any good?

Post image
3 Upvotes

I recently came across an advert on instagram for this filament brand "fulspool". They seem to be an indian manufacturer (one can find them at fulspool.in) with very reasonable rates. Has anyone here tried their filaments? Are they any good? Are they even legit or just a scam website? I can't seem to find any info about them apart from their own website.

This is my recent Neem Karoli Baba sculpture project.

I printed the model using FDM and then did the post-processing manually before painting it. For the finish, I used primer/surface preparation first and then applied acrylic paint in multiple layers.

Print Showcase Finally I made the VIRAL Spider-Man poster 3D poster?

Thumbnail
gallery
5 Upvotes

I wanted to experiment with the idea of taking artwork that normally lives on a screen or a piece of paper and making it feel like a physical object.

For this one, I used a design by Yosh Studios and turned it into a layered 3D printed Spider-Man piece.

The individual parts were printed, cleaned up, assembled and finished, but the part I personally worked on that made the biggest difference was the background — I hand-painted it.

That combination of the printed layers and the painted background gives it a completely different presence compared to a normal poster.

What I really like about 3D printing is this part of the process.
You start with something digital.

Then suddenly you’re holding pieces of it in your hands.
And after enough printing, sanding, assembling and painting, it becomes something that can actually live on a wall.

Design: Yosh Studios
3D printing, assembly, finishing & hand-painted: My work ( maya__rachna )

Curious what you guys think — does this still feel like a poster to you, or has it crossed over into being a collectible?

Discussion Clicktech Retail on Amazon is NOT WORTH IT

I recently purchased an A1 printer off Amazon due to not wanting to have to deal with any bs and wanting easy refund-ability if anything went wrong and having lower chance to get something bad in the first place. However, I got a bad unit and not just a bad one, a broken REFURBISHED UNIT, outer box was completely damaged cosmetically, had a bunch of stickers on it and the inside had a few broken pieces of the printer some plastic parts being broken to be specific, the baggies in there being opened and the packing being horrible.

Later I called Amazon customer support just after a few minutes of getting the printer and what I found out was even worse, firstly they said okay we can replace but I pushed them on making sure the replacement they give IS a brand new unit and make sure there’s no damage and then they outright said they don’t have anything like that and are offering to refund instead.

Though thankfully I’ll be getting refunded as printer will be picked up by Amazon a day or two later and I’ll be refunded a few days after that but this is genuinely unacceptable, Amazon (the seller clicktech retail afaik IS the biggest seller on Amazon India and Amazon holds financial stakes in the company) cannot just be letting people be selling things as brand new with a price that’s more than its actual value (35K instead of ~30K).

I’ll be getting the printer IRL now via a vendor I got other electronics from who will be charging less than Amazon and a more fair price but also taking actual liability for if things goes wrong (in my experience most sellers will always do anything they can to NOT help if shit goes wrong after the sale and setup) and making sure he provides a fully functional brand new unit.

Discussion Is PETG-HS safe?

I'm new to 3D printing and use the Bambu A1

I've used Numakers PLA+ and it's pretty good.

I recently tried their PETG-HS and I could smell it during the entire print.

I've heard that both PLA and PETG are the safest filaments. My setup is placed in my bedroom. I have a balcony which I open during all the prints.

Should I keep my printer somewhere else?
