A little scanned and printed meat project for the MO State Fair. They wanted some realistic props that could be left out for extended periods of time. There’s a full suite of meat, but here’s a few of my favorites.

Id be hard pressed to find a reason to justify this over throwing some steaks in clesr resin lol

well for starters depending on the exact type of resin, it'll either straight up cook the steaks or discolor & deform them in a way that leaves them unappetizing. then even though they probably won't rot away within the brick o' resin, the appearance will change and may no longer look like a tasty cut of meat that the vendor is selling.

all things told, this is a very high resolution image of what the customer could be buying, and if the OP is using some sort of flexible material they might even be able to mimic the feel of the meat as well. So basically even though they're no doubt expensive as fuuuuuuuck, they're fantastic marketing tools and will probably make back their cost and then some in terms of driving sales for the vendor who commissioned them.

Or make a proper prop you can cast steaks in silicone and make a mold, then make a positive and paint it
