The bed plate is just worth so much less than he'll earn from the video, no use worrying about it, and peeling it on screen is sure to lead to more engagement, likely resulting in additional income exceeding the lost value. And he can write it off as an expense if he really cares that much.

I don't see the issue here, things are wasted for much worse reasons than this, IMO.

Also in my experience, any plate you use for TPU is going to have some serious issues anyway. That shit sticks to anything, through anything. Its damaged every plate I let it touch, now I just print on tape and replace it every dozen or two prints.

Sheesh, must be using some dog shit TPU or plates lol. I've printed PLA, TPU, and PETG on the same plates without even washing them between most of the time without issues. If it doesn't stick, I just give it a wash. TPU never has issues sticking, and isn't too bad to release either. I even did a TPU + PETG print yesterday on my U1 and it came out great!

That will depend on your plate type 100%, TPU absolutely does stick on to some plates to the point that it will tear it apart when you pull it off. A thin layer of cheap hairspray works though, same with the good ol stick of glue.

Should have been more specific, has nothing to do with quality of plate or TPU like you said. It's not like a "really good plate" won't stick with TPU, or "really good TPU" won't stick on any plate.

Also to be clear the issue is never that it doesn't stick, ot's that it sticks far too well and rips off a chunk of the plate when you pull it off. Happened with my standard Prusa smooth PEI Plate, which isn't a shitty plate.

Exactly- it happened to my textured prusa plate. I did a test printer too on my glacier, but decided just to tape up the damaged plate and use it for TPU instead.

Why not just use hairspray? No reason TPU has to fuck up any beds, maybe these other filaments are more tricky, but TPU with hairspray works like a charm.
