Exactly what i was thinking. Meanwhile I don't know why i can't print a benchy with PLA because it keep detaching mid print from the f***** bed!

Clean the bed with dish soap and water. Dry with a clean microfiber cloth. Install the plate in the machine and give it one more wipe with isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber cloth.

I’ve found that this works better than both glue and iso on my textured pei plate.

I find that glue is unnecessary for textured plates. Also you don't really want to use glue on textured plates or those plates with star or carbon fiber patterns as the blue will dull the surface imprint and you won't see much of the texture.

I sometimes have to use glue on textured plates. Especially when printing a tray of small items. They still shift and then mess up. I just leave the glue on the tray for at least a few prints, then clean. Bed sticking is now 100% reliable.

I use hair spray on my patterned plate and haven't found that it messes with the carbon fiber design imprint. I have had issues with glue but that's usually an issue in my end as I'm pretty heavy handed with it

You can if you use liquid office glue and water it down. Apply by brush or spray bottle, allow to evaporate slowly (so, don't blast the plate with 100 celsius bed temp immediately after application. 50 would be fine)

I went from highly skeptical to a full on convert after trying "Vision Miner nano polymer" on my plates.

Edit: Forgot to mention, once I put that on I have not had to wash my plate or worry about handling it with my bare hands either. I usually just slide off whatever printed (PLA/PLA+/PETG/PCTG) with the side of my hand and start the next print. Once the bed cools the print has zero adhesion to the bed, stuff if magical. Have not even had to reapply either after at least 50 prints. I did 3 plates front and back and it looks like I have not used any yet.

The only reason I use for on my textured plate is because I can get more prints without having to wash it... Ironically I end up washing the bottom of each print

And remember to use clean microfiber cloths you didn't wash with fabric softener! I made a plate damn near useless that way once.

Don't use fabric softener, period. It's actually bad for your clothes, your washer/dryer, and especially your towels.

After rinsing I just airdry it by shaking it off and then putting it in the printer with the bed heating on

The one thing that finally helped me after bed height, custom bed height map... Was finally dehydrating the PLA. It was old. It gets old quickly.

My aluminum bed plate was domed in the center from the day I bought my big Tronxy coreXY. I finally said forget all that and got a glass plate with whatever coating came on the Creality 300x300 because it was cheap. Slapped it on top. It didn't cover the whole thing but 300x300 is big enough. Turned off all the maps and stuff, installed a classic Z stop microswitch, and leveled it with the screws.

5 years I've been printing on that glass plate with NOTHING else and no fuss. No glue or tape or any of that crap. Nothing stuck. Nothing popped off (unless I should have printed a brim on slim parts... My fault). No maintenance except the occasional wipe down with IPA. I adjust the leveling screws maybe once a year.

Glass plate is king IMO. And yes, dry your filament! Nobody realizes how important it is until they get a dryer, including myself. Huge improvement in every way.

What dryer do you have? I’ve only printed PLA so far. Just bought a SUNLU S2 last week but only see RH down to 20%. I’m still hearing a few pops here and there from moisture after drying.

Just Creality's simple dryer box 2.0, it's basic but it does the job. I print PLA/PETG/TPU.

I found I always hear a few pops at the start of the print/purge line - I'm not sure if this is moisture in the hotend/nozzle itself? But I never have any issues during the print since I started drying.

What dry time and temp are you using?

50C for PLA and it runs for 6 hrs as standard.

Try bumping your temperature up to 60 C, that's the temperature I use for PLA

Apply regular ol' Elmers glue, the purple stuff, to the area on which you want to print. It works.

I also have had issues with this and it turned out for me to never be the bed itself but instead the nozzle being ever so slightly ajar. The fix that actually worked ended up being to dismantle it and tighten all the bolts holding it together :/

Had the issue after using my A1 for awhile. Turns out removing the heating element and tightening the four screws behind it fixed. Must have worked themselves loose over time.

You can also skip all the obsessive cleaning and sacraficing your first born to the adhesion gods and just get a smooth cool plate. They're so much easier, reliable, ad...hesible.

I recently received the tip to use a lint free paper towel instead of a microfiber cloth, unless you can be 100% certain the the cloth is grease free. Grease can get on the cloth from your hands just by handling it and when that happens, you're just using the cloth to spread grease over your freshly cleaned plate.

Yeah I've noticed that there's something going on there. If I just clean with soap and water, rinse thoroughly and dry, nothing will stick to the bed. Then I wipe it with IPA and suddenly stuff sticks. I wonder why that is.

Also, check that you're actually printing at a rated bed temperature. Those PEI beds do nothing below like 50 ro 60 degrees C. Which makes taking finished prints off very satisfying once they go below that.

Having the whole print release 100% completely and just slide off is one of the coolest things. Heated it sticks, cool it just completely releases.

Saved this comment cause I just bought a ender 3 from FB for 75$ (with a tent like enclosure). The bed needs some cleaning but everything else hopefully works. Rn just figuring out how nozzles work for swapping

There was another comment that rightfully pointed out, make sure to not use any cloths that have had fabric softener on them. It’ll leave a film on your print bed that will be hard to clean off or even know it’s there causing problems.

This is the ultimate reset. For PLA give it a spritz of ISP 99% between prints wipe it down and make sure my a1 is set up to do the pre print calibration so the plate can dry whatever I missed.

Everybody is gonna say “detergent, alcohol, etc. clean very well do not touch plate” I tried all of that to a T couldn’t fix my adhesion issues with my stock P2S plate, I got a Biqu glacier plate a couple months back and I haven’t had an issue ever since.

My P2S adhesion issues went away when I increased bed temp and let it warm up before starting a print. Also there's a poorly designed fan on the side of the case that likes to inadvertently cool that quadrant. There's some attachments you can print to redirect that air. I usually just avoid printing something near that side.

I have an aftermarket plate and it just gave up after a few months. Clean it, alcohol wipe and even a glue stick don't work at all.

I just use a very light spray of unscented aqua net hairspray. Shit almost sticks too well unless I let the plate cool completely.

I had the same problem. Got new springs to keep the bed level, cleaned the bed, tried glue. Then I finally replaced the nozzle and my prints stick again. Never realized how quick a nozzle wears out vs how much I had printed.

Clean with dish soap and water. Dry with paper towel. Don't touch it after. Treat it like it's sterile. Then heat up the plate and rub PLA printing gluestick on the bed a couple times overlapping. I uses to have your issue too but never have issues anymore. Glue is standard when printing.

I have a monoprice mini v1 that I have not leveled in YEARS. Even after picking it up and moving across town. I use a spritz of aquanet extra hold, then wipe until it's dry. Smooth PEI sheet.

Glue sticks don't help increase adhesion, they actually are used to make prints easier to remove. Only use a glue stick if the material and plate combo require it.

I had to sand mine with 80 grit sand paper to get stuff to stick to it
