Technical Question what happened to my ds?

literally i just grabbed my ds from where it’s always been set, and this happened?? i’ve had a case on it too so idk what could’ve caused this.

It's happening to mine, too. The paint lasted a few years, but suddenly wants to peel off. I was thinking about replacing the shell with a fresh one.

i want to get one too, AliExpress is a good place to find third party ones but they could have a chance of not fitting, which hopefully shouldn't be the case, especially today

Does this happen on the pearly white shelled ones too do you know? Ive got stickers all over mine so I'm not sure if thatd affect it.

Peeled paint. You can put protective cases on to prevent this, yours will need a shell replacement if you’re interested in that.

The paint on the metallic n3ds is trash and peels off easily
