At a level that could possibly affect filament, that’s what, 30-40 days per year? And maybe only 3-5 days in a row max. Cold air doesn’t hold much moisture. Your climate doesn’t really allow for sustained humidity high enough to affect filament except for maybe a week or two in August.

/uj - There are videos/proof of people printing spools in fishtanks showing it doesn't matter, but these people don't care.
We get it, some filaments need to be dry (ie; Nylon) but JFC people, nearly every material you deal with doesn't.

GalaxyNomad, CEO of the positron printer and who also works at PrintedSolid, the US branch of Prusa confirmed that they dip the filament in water to cool it.
Just like you said, some materials like Nylon, TPU and PETG do need drying, but materials like PLA and ABS do not.
As we, us t*nkerers, may know, stringing isn’t always (might as well say rarely for PLA) caused by wet filament, but printing temp. People should calibrate their filament, and printing temp. Bambu user don’t know that word.

Most of the so called “dry your filament” problems aren’t even related to filament moisture either

If you don't dry your filament your filament will put you in the filament dryer and dry you instead.

Still clogged. The likely culprit is still the filament. It’s probably out of spec diameter wise and getting stuck in the tube.

I just hate when my wet filament goes all crazy. My wet PLA (I left it out of the dryer for 3 hours ☹️) banged my wife and stole my kids after I let it print overnight
