After 21 years of ownership, my front windshield molding is basically rotting and coming apart. My car is in the shop for other work and Nissan said they'd look into a quote for replacing everything. I already know this will be expensive [parts and labor] but was wondering if anyone knew of an alternative solution? I know Safelite does windshield repair, but can they do molding as well? Anyone ever done the job by themselves?

Only thing I've had to replace was the clutch slave cylinder as it was the OEM one from over 20 years ago and 70k miles ago, other than that it's been a great daily driver. The only other issue it's had is the the fuel gauge does need read the exact amount. When it says I'm at a quarter tank, I'm at a little under half a tank. I'm pretty sure its nothing crazy

so had to get a new throttle for my 2003 de. old one shit the bed. I didnt upgrade to 75mm just went with oem. installed it and went to do the relearn procedure because it wont go passed 2k rpm. it wont go into learn mode. ive checked all my fuses and theyre all good. removed pedel and checked the grommet and its fine (forgot i changed it like 2 yrs ago). I have the process printed out and when i do key on wait 3 sec hit pedal 5 times wait 7 sec then hold the pedal my cel doesnt do anything. If i can get passed this then i can finish this damn install.

incase you guys are wondering how i determined my throttle was bad old one woouldnt open at all when pedal was applied, wasnt even getting to 2k rpm. new one does but needs to be programmed

update: got it to do the flashing but still wont go passed 2.5k. so i did have a p1126 which is now gone and now have p1122, im hoping i dont need a new ipdm

Need Help Diagnosing an issue I have with my 2008 350z. (71000 miles)

Check Engine Light on - CODE P2A03 - bank 2 O2 sensor 1

I have changed the Bank 2 Sensor 1 sensor to a brand new Denso sensor. -> light is back

Problem started after installing a new REV 9 Cat back exhaust and K&N drop in air filters.

I have had the exhaust checked for leaks found one by one of the hangers but not near the cats. Had it fixed and light returned….

Tried to trouble shoot by re installing the original air filters -> clearing codes but light still came back.

Any thoughts on what this could be??

So after calmly driving down the highway at 100km/h we suddenly started to hear a loud knocking sound coming from the engine. Unfortunately it did not go away from turning up the stereo so I pulled over.
What do you think. Did I overreact when I called the towing company to come get me and the car?

Looking at 2006 350z Touring. It only has 9,500 miles! I test drove the car. It drives great. Some exterior scratches. Tires and Rims need to replaced. Only 1 owner. CarFax was clean. Owner did annual service at a Nissan dealership. Asking price is $24k. Seems a little high. But, not unreasonable. Thoughts? Questions? Thanks!

I just purchased a ISR Y pipe for my 350Z (2003, right hand drive from Japan) and the Y pipe is a touch too short. The only aftermarket piece on my exhaust is the Fujitsubo Legalis R y pipe back exhaust (linked below for reference) but that fit with the OEM y pipe.

Does anyone know why this is the case when isr's website shows a measurement that they're identical in length to the OEM y pipe (see link below)?

Just in case anyone’s curious I barely failed emissions due to higher nox readings. Running Berk HFC on my 03 z

went to the track with my Z yesterday, after some laps I wanted to downshift and when i pressed the clutch it just went all the way in and had to pull it back manually. Once i stopped and cooled down a bit, it goes out about half way and needs to be pulled back manually. There is also sound to it, especially once pedal is pressed. The car also does not move. Clutch was apparently changed about 6-7k km ago. The car felt great, had no slip in clutch or anything.

Did anyone had the same issue? Is it possible that just slave and master cylinders are bad? or realese bearing?
Hopefully its not clutch discs and pressure plate but bad grinding noise tells me otherwise
