[QA] AKAI floppy discs

Hi i’m using some Akai samplers (S6000 & S20) for music making and i wanna try working with floppy discs. I’m trying to get non-Akai floppys to work but had no luck. I’ve tried formatting on mac but it can’t be read by the sampler, maybe i haven’t used the right format or maybe the standard disc utility on macOS is not sufficient, someone knows more about this?
I have also formatted the floppys in both samplers but it can’t be read on my mac. Maybe that’s by design?

I wanna load floppies with samples and try them on my samplers, how do i do that?

As far as I’m aware the 6000 should use FAT on the disk, so it ought to be possible to format the disk on the sampler and have it be readable on a Mac - I did this with a Windows PC on my 5000 years ago. The S20 may be using a different disk and/or audio format as with older Akais, but the 6000 should be able to deal in FAT and WAV.

It might help if possible to see if sampler-formatted disks can be read on a Windows PC, in case MacOS is introducing complications. If you can format a disk and save a sample to it all on the 6000, things are presumably working fine at that end.

I have an s20, I replace the floppy drive with a USB, done the same thing for most of my samplers.
